I don't mind it. 130 is a huge amount of stories to tell in two seasons so formula repetition isn't that surprising.

That is a great question. Maybe it's because Tri-Klops was voiced by Lou Scheimer and after voicing Orko and King Randor and Trap Jaw it was too much for him.
