This was a great listen! Learning about the connection between Tom and another one of the cast members blew my mind as well… what a special event for them!
Getting to be behind-the-scenes on so many movies and play such a wide variety of creatures must be a delightful job, and Tom seems like a delightful guy from this interview. It’s neat insight into a world of movie making that’s often hidden!
I know Orko only had one line at the very end of the movie but it would be cool if you got his VA, Christopher Ragland on the podcast and maybe how they got him cast last minute during the film’s production? Also his most notable voice work was for another Mattel property that was my childhood religion (Percy in Thomas & Friends).
Great interview. It’s neat to hear the process of all it takes to bring Cringer and Battlecat to life. I’m a little bummed to hear there aren’t any unused scenes with him given his limited role in the movie, but clearly it was an intensive effort to get what we got, so I’m thankful for all of his work.
I also appreciate that he thinks Cringer now transforms with Adam, not seeing that transformation is my only real (and still minor) nitpick of the film.
