@onlyoneskeletor you didn't buy the new Scare Glow ? I bought him recently (VC Mer Man too), idk, he is much better than the one we got in the Revelation series...
@yen1893 Not yet. I think Mattel's strategy has exhausted me and left me with no appetite for more, since 'more' means exclusively variants or, at best, repaints. They could make it so much more fun for their customers — really! For example, Chronicles Scareglow was a good start, since I maintain my theory that the design was intended for a possible New Eternia SG, but was reused at the last minute for the Chronicles line launch. The same goes for King Grayskull, since he's now more in line with the 200x character. However, that's not what I'm focusing on right now. I just can't forget the latest characters seen on the Masterverse box art, and it's driving me nuts (lol).
Toy commercial:
😎
>>>The Power of the Good and the Way of the Magic!<<<
@ornclown Can he speak any faster lol.
Something I’ve noticed in commercials, they even speed up sound & picture to save money.
That said, love any and all toy commercials, but especially MOTU of course!
One of the winners of this movie toy season craziness is the Core line. It has charm of its own, and that price, man!
@kinggrayskull09 I know the movie Origins are even more pricey in Europe, add to that the oversized deluxe prices…
But I think outside of the price, the Origins movie figures are another good strategy. I see oldschool fans preferring them to Chronicles as well. Compared to those, the Origins are cheap. 😏
Got my first two Chronicles figures a few days ago. Man-at-Arms and Trap Jaw. Love the latter more than the former. Duncan is a good figure, amazing likeness to Idris Elba, but problem with him is that is blaster is hard to fit in his hand. You really gotta squeeze the open hand out to fit it, but not too much pressure or else the hand piece will break.
Anyone else having this issue?
They really should’ve come with an extra pair of more open hands specifically for blaster holding.
I had the same when I got a Masterverse 2021 Netflix He-Man a while back. His sword is so hard to get in his hand.
Also amongst the other Chronicles figures currently out besides them, which ones do you really recommend? He-Man and Skeletor are eventuals for me, but what about Tri-klops? Is he good?
Another big compliment I have to give is the packaging. It's great. Not too simply, yet not too flashy. Love how the box shape is flipped depending on if it's a heroic or evil warrior and the side art you can put them next to each other and it looks cool. And character descriptions on the back.
@slycooperastroboy51 So far, I only have He-Man, Trap Jaw and Scare Glow from Chronicles, and have preordered Teela– she looks great in the promos and has a nice amount of accessories (especially the second head with her hair up).
I agree Trap Jaw is great, just the skirt is hindering some of this much advertised great new articulation. That’s a beginner mistake.
I like He-Man, he’s just too small for my taste. But probably looks fine with other Chronicles, I just compare these still to MV.
But he moves perfectly, nothing obstructing all these new joints, I was impressed. I am thinking of getting Battle Cat once he gets a bit cheaper… 😅
I’m not planning to get the full roster, really just the figures I mentioned. I’m already getting too many movie figs from the other two lines.
