I noticed there wasn't a sub forum discussion about this, and I wanted to know if this reboot is actually good. I love the original series, and I've heard this one is kinda preachy with its messaging. I have no problem with the message, I just don't like preachy. Is the show itself good though, or a weird fanfic where everybody is screwing everybody like I've been told it is?

Quick counterpoint from me - I enjoyed this show, particularly its first season. For me, it did go downhill towards the end, with seemingly endless repetition of the same plot points, but when it was good, it was really enjoyable. It's distinctly different from the rest of MOTU but has some fun Easter eggs. Suggest you give it a spin and see what you think; if the first season doesn't grip you then don't bother going further.
@owenmorton I'm gonna go watch it... oh wait, I can't! The only way I can watch it is by buying, get this, the first three seasons on DVD. And it's not even a high quality DVD. And you can rent it from streaming services, but it unfortunately also only gets to season 3. Oh well, I'll just never be able to finish it lol, but I will buy the DVD.
All I can say is that Hordak and Entrapta are my favorite characters in the show. This was the first piece of MOTU media I got invested. Hordak in general is my favorite character in the entire franchise and it can mainly boil down to this show. I mean I like most other depictions of Hordak, complete villain or more layered. His relationship with Entrapta is cute and I want this hyperactive tech savy girl who was a basic nobody in the Filmation toon to be in literally anything in this franchise that they feel like putting her in.
