@ornclown Just now?! Or at least less than a week ago? Don't think I'm up to speed on Origins news.
The news broke back in May.
Unfortunately, nothing about a Hordak figure...
However, this makes sense because Hordak was never a big part of the MYP MOTU series, only really appearing in flashbacks. He was intended to be the main antagonist in season 3 of the series after the Masters defeated the Snake Threat... but, we all know how that turned out.
It wouldn't surprise me if Mattel decides not to include 200X Hordak in the CC line.

Given the shaky logic behind the CC Filmation line, it’s safe to say: don’t hold your breath! Mattel’s well-known habit of quickly rebooting their MotU lines is no secret to collectors. My guess is their next move will be another crossover line, most likely G.I. Joe, and that kind of hybrid could easily pave the way for a new cartoon collection centered on the new adventures of He-Man. Probably the shortest figure lineup ever made for a cartoon series (lol).@ornclown Just now?! Or at least less than a week ago? Don't think I'm up to speed on Origins news.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't made. I'm just biased and want a figure of him.

They make one year worth of CC Origins that's 1/3 New Adventures, 1/3 Netflix 2021 and 1/3 She-Ra 2018 (Mattel has collaborated with Nickelodeon, WB and Hasbro for Origins collabs. This technically wouldn't be a collab but they can work something out with Universal)
I think that would be a very cool thing for them to do. Take the lesser corners of the franchise, give them two waves (six figures) each and it would really give a year of Origins some really good variety in terms of characters.
I know back in 2021 there was an MC exclusive 4-pack with an Origins NA and 2021 He-Man. Those figures any good or should they maybe remake or slightly improve them? If not I can easily see them getting individual rereleases
Speaking of which, they're still slowly remaking all the figures in the OG toyline at a slow pace and I'm suddenly really wanting Origins Blade and Gwildor. Some 1987 film inspired figure variants would be cool. I mean if they aren't gonna restock the Masterverse '87 film figures like Skeletor and Blade, they may as well.
@onlyoneskeletor When will they finish the dang vintage line?
They could in theory finish by next year. But it'll likely be another 2 years to get the remaining 7-11 figures.

I'm really tired of Mattel's scattershot, ADHD approach to MOTU. I wish it were more like Marvel Legends or GI Joe Classified.

The New Adventures He-Man from the 4-Pack is a decent effort... (and the only version we've ever been given that's actually based on the cartoon design.)
However, with the new buck used for both the MOTU x TC and 200X CC lines, I would prefer if Mattel used that style of tooling for a CC sub-line dedicated to New Adventures.
The slimmer style would work well with the NA aesthetics.

This is what I was hoping for with Masterverse... 🙁
@durendal Marvel Legends has done everything at this point, Mattel should have done everything, and then make sublines.
Even with MOTU Classics, Mattel was all over the map with their eras, factions, and series... they released over 200 unique figures and STILL did not complete the New Adventures vintage line. SMH.

Anyone interested in the Meteorbs?

Well, since I’m buying a bit less of the upcoming stuff, I went and got myself a better-knees original Teela from eBay. $35 was kinda a lot for a simple figure, but I guess she’ll almost “vintage” at this point 😂
The old knees made me sad, and the yellow Teela just isn’t the same (in the first preorder pics, she looked super golden, the final result ticked me off, even though she’s not that bad.
It’ll be nice to upgrade my original group.
My Man-At-Arms uses the Snake Infiltrator body, for extra vintage vibes. Kinda want to get the recently reissued He-Man, for the reddish pants. I just feel the boots don’t really match now?
@cosmic Fwiw, the Teela figure posed on the back of the new Fright Pit packaging has the original knees.

"Better knees Teela"? There's variant of toy-based Origins Teela with the better updated female knees? I wasn't aware of this if true.
@slycooperastroboy51 I've been trying to find one for so long, I don't even know if they were sold in the states.
I finally, FINALLY got my Origins movie Trap-Jaw!
And, holy smokes, is he a great figure!
As shown before, he is a BIG BOY... using the Skel-Ra buck, he towers over the others (it was a strange decision, but it totally works.)
Trap-Jaw has so many uniquely tooled parts that look really good on this figure... in fact, he might be "too detailed?" to be in the Origins line, lol.

Here he is compared to the rest of the movie figures:

And, something I noticed in the pamphlet... it seems there was a design change / last minute alteration to the cyborg arm:

The arm is completely different on the actual figure. The hook is more rounded and there is no clip for it to hang on his belt... interesting.

yet she has the ponytail of yellow Zoar Teela, which never had the old knees. They must have used the old Teela for color’s sake, and added the ponytail head to add something newer.@cosmic Fwiw, the Teela figure posed on the back of the new Fright Pit packaging has the original knees.
Even they don’t have a better-knees original Teela. They are rare.
@slycooperastroboy51 Yeah they are rare, but they exist. Seems they did one more batch of them back in the day, with updated knees. They are overpriced on the after market. Some folks got her just from Amazon but it’s a gamble probably.
@ornclown Congrats! Mine was supposed to ship from Walmart today or yesterday, too, but so far it’s not moving.
Some of these movie figures do strike me as being a bit too detailed for Origins. The designers probably think, while they have the budget, what the heck let’s make it a cool figure, consistency be damned lol

This is my hope for the (hopefully) upcoming Evil-Lyn, Goat Man, Mekaneck, and Fisto!
