Not feeling that at all. Hopefully the kids don't think it's as lame as I do

I wouldn’t worry too much, while adult collectors like everything to be more literal, kids have imagination! They can pretend both castles are miles away from each other.

And for Mattel, I think doing two playsets in short order would be tough sell. Core is supposed to be cheap, so yeah, two castles for the price of one (sorta).

Of course without all the diorama props built around it, the thing will be much smaller than it looks right now. But then, Core figures are small…

Looks like the playset comes with the Throne of Bones and stairs that lead up to it along with the Power Sword altar. So a bit bare bones but also not quite? I think Walmart is going to list it for $85 but no confirmation yet.

In times of rising prices, this is less than the first Origins Castle Grayskull. Might be smaller, less bells and whistles, but also less $$…and 2-in-1. Fits well with the philosophy of the Core line.

Hmmm, converted from British pounds, the price in USD would be about $119.00

I have a feeling it will actually be much cheaper...

More pics of the double castle:

@ornclown Yeah considering it’s not big, and the prices of Core, I hope it’ll be a pleasant surprise (the Roton is not cheap, but it has that mechanism inside, so I hope it’s an exception)

It's $86.39 on Walmart.com so cheaper than Origins Grayskull, if you adjust for inflation.

Latest CORE figures with pictures @admin

New Teela, Ram Man, New Skeletor, Tri-Klops

Some of these have been on BBTS from the beginning, but without pics.

Still looking at that twin-castle.., I kind of like the simpler take on Snake Mountain. I’ll wait to see how big it is compared to the other playsets. It’ll probably be too big for what I have in mind.

I’d love some smaller / mid-size diorama pieces, particularly for the Evil Warriors. Like Slime Pit and Point Dread (even though the latter was too shrunken).

Duncan is a good figure, amazing likeness to Idris Elba, but problem with him is that is blaster is hard to fit in his hand. You really gotta squeeze the open hand out to fit it, but not too much pressure or else the hand piece will break.

Anyone else having this issue?

They really should’ve come with an extra pair of more open hands specifically for blaster holding.

Just got Chronicles He-Man. Great look and can pose well, but like Man-At-Arms, there's one small flaw with him that made me pass on him for a bit. There was one at my local target that I didn't pick up because the figure in the package looked like the upper and lower torso looked a bit loose. Just thought it was a one-time QC issue.

Just got it from a different Target and I didn't know until I got it out of the package that yeah the upper and lower torso look loose.

I mean the figure itself stays together fine and the swivel at the waist is good, but the visible small spaces when you pose him in certain ways is just off and it makes him a little flimsy when you slightly shake him and not solid.

Anyone else have this problem? Or really does anyone have tiny issues with certain Chronicles figures? Am loving the line, all the figures look amazing, may try to get them all, but after He-Man and Man-At-Arms, I'm a bit cautious on what figures should be my priority to buy next (the best ones)

Will try to get a Skeletor next as I hear he's the best one, thing is I can't find him at retail, he's sold out on BBTS, my main figure buying site and no I do not buy anything from Amazon because f**k Bezos. Watching the movie is my only exception to Amazon boycotting.

@slycooperastroboy51 Chonicles has been a very mixed bag for me.

He-Man: waist gap

Man-at-Arms: waist gap, belt glued on poorly, extra glue on pelvis; head falls off

Tri-Klops: waist gap

Skeletor: malformed upper teeth [not the worst example out there]

Trap Jaw: absolutely fantastic

Battle Cat: wonderful

King Grayskull: great

Scare Glow: also great

Will give this a try, maybe next weekend, for He-Man and Tri-Klops - Fixed the torso gap! : r/MastersOfTheUniverse

Going to keep an eye on sales/eBay for M-a-A and a Skeletor [head]

Announcement on Mattel Creations, Chronicles Two-Pack with He-Man & Skeletor

https://community.creations.mattel.com/forums/topic/151266-everything%E2%80%99s-built-on-this-%E2%80%93-and-a-new-twist-is-coming-for-the-summer-season/

Interesting!

I wonder if this will just be a re-release of the existing movie figures, or if they will have newly sculpted heads / hands / etc.?

Or, maybe new movie-specific accessories?

@slycooperastroboy51 The torso gap is a common manufacturing slip. I'm hoping for a rerun of this initial wave with some improvement tweaks...

@johnnyotool Agreed. Battle Cat is probably my favorite movie figure in the chronicles line so far!
