at 4:18 He says the same thing I've been trying to say & you all have ignored me & abandoned me completely. These characters are like old friends. A connection to better days.  Good memories from my childhood. "IT BRINGS ME HOME!" And my old friends Man-At-Arms, Teela, Ram-Man & Tri-Klops were WHITE! I don't recognize these race swapped characters.

Hollywood just ruined MOTU & I'm the only MOTU fan screaming into the void. Nobody cares! Nobody will listen. You guys are going to mindlessly feed the beast & keep this crap that everybody else hates going forever.

And then you call me a racist. I think it's you & Hollywood who are the racists. You have a perfectly good BLACK character, Clamp Champ, that you didn't even use. Racists against white people. I haven't seen any black, Asian or Hispanic characters changed to white. Isn't it funny how that works? Race-Swapping only erases the white characters. It's a door that only swings 1 way.

And none of you guys care at all. You're just going to insult me & buy your tickets like the mindless, addicted consumers you are. All of you & all of the Youtubers are Pixel Dan, Mega Jay Retro, Toy Habits, Toy Sorceress & Geek.Dad.Life now.

But I better not call anybody a "shill". That hurts your feelings & you get offended. You don't get offended when Hollywood erases the white characters with their racist BS, but you get offended & pissed off at me for calling it out.

And nothing anybody says can snap you out of it.

Are you a fan of the 87 movie or do you hate it just as much?

@sci-fitsunami If you don't like it don't complain, but buddy, we're going to buy tickets because we don't care about race, but about character. So leave everybody else out of it. This is a kids IP meant to sell toys, it ain't that deep. (It's okay to like MOTU without being a kid btw 🙂)

Look at this image; the gun He-Man is holding looks like Trap Jaw's arm. Maybe He-Man rips off Trap Jaw's arm and uses it against him! That would be awesome!

@sci-fitsunami It's really ok that you don't like this new adaptation. It's also ok that other people are willing to accept that it's an adaptation, that's it not 100% exact to any particular prior incarnation of the franchise, and are willing to give it a chance.

The new movie isn't meant to take the place of the place of the mini-comics, or the Filmation show, or the 2012 comics, or (insert variant here)... it's just trying to earn its own spot on the shelf.

The 1987 movie didn't feel very He-man to me at all! It was fun in its own way and didn't take away from anything MOTU that I'd enjoyed before or after.

Well done mate.

@bonezone It's probably region locked. It should be available as it clicks over to May 15 in other areas.

Eternia track. It's a super 80s anthem with synthetic, choir and Brian May shredding on the guitar.

Track seems to be up for those on the East Coast in the US!

Seems the difference is one a little longer as a end credits version.

It sounds like Queen mixed with Pink Floyd, but also Dungeons and Dragons-esque! It's amazing! It's very '80s, and very HE-MAN!

I hear a strong ABBA influence too. The tone is perfect! The trailer music was very modern generic. This one is actually instantly memorable.

THAT'S who I was hearing! I kept listening to the track and something sounded familiar like an old 70s or 80s song and was humming it...🤣

Track has definitely grew on me more and more.

I wouldn't expect She-Ra anytime soon.

The rights to Princess of Power and the 2018 reboot belong to NBC Universal.

Even though Mattel still owns the rights to the intellectual property (to make toys), if a movie was made, or if She-Ra becomes a part of the MOTU cinematic universe, a deal would most likely have to be made where she is shared between the production companies... similar to how Spider-Man is shared between Sony and Marvel Studios.

Isn't it just the cartoon rights?

I mean there was that announcement years back of a live-action  she-Ra Amazon show that's very likely been cancelled, but reports that announced it said had nothing to do the recent 2018 show after it's conclusion. I'm really thinking Mattel owns She-Ra in anything that isn't specifically animation and they could feasibly put her in a live-action movie without any talks with Universal/Dreamworks.

Dreamworks may as well just give their rights back to Mattel because let's be honest, after the beloved 2018 show ended, what more can they do with She-Ra?

It had a satisfactory conclusion.

Netflix has taken it off their platform (hopefully Mattel can somehow work out a full series home media release because there still is a huge fandom, arguably a sub-section of the wider MOTU fandom at large)

ND Stevenson has said that the crew wants to do a follow-up movie of some kind but acknowledges that it's unlikely.

I honestly wouldn't be interested in a 2018 show follow up unless they do one thing: bring in a certain long lost brother of Adora and Evil Lord of Destruction.

Imagine the plot being a reverse of the Secret of the Sword movie? Adora and co. are told to head to Eternia, there she fights a beefcake guy as She-Ra only to realize that it's her brother and that she's princess of Eternos.

And what would be an even more interesting plot idea: Reveal Skeletor was still an acolyte of Hordak on Etheria for a time when Adora and Catra were young (flashbacks where he's still Keldor. Him and his niece of course don't recognize each other at the time) then he went back to Eternia to go after Grayskull because disagreements idk.

Now with both Horde Prime gone and Hordak reformed (he helps out in this), for once, Skeletor is on top of the food chain if you catch my drift in terms of now being the greatest threat in the universe. Something as far as I know hasn't been done in any MOTU media or at least emphasized.

There's lots of interviews today talking about She-Ra, Mer-Man not making the film and sequel ideas given the premiere is tonight. There's a lot to link...so I'll just let AJ do it when he's able. 😆

For now, first clip!

Anyone planning to cosplay at least a bit when going to see the movie on opening night? Some people do that.

I sure am. Hordak was my first cosplay.....well half of him.

semi-unrelated rambling about my experience with cosplay:

Back in at November, my first cosplay was one of those fusion cosplays or cosplays that are a mashup of 2 characters you sometimes see at cons.

Lord of the Horde + Shadow, The Ultimate Lifeform = "The Shadow of the Horde"

Used some makeup, hairspray, bought "inhibitor rings" off Etsy and a shirt with the 2018 Horde symbol off of Redbubble. Bought a cape and cut it a bit to make it look tattered like 200x Hordak. Bought some discount shoes and acrylic painted them, did the same with a cheap plastic Bumblebee kids costume arm cannon I found after halloween on discount at Walmart for $3.

For a first amateur cosplay I say it turned out well enough.

Only like two people recognized my Hordak side. I mean no brainer the con was a single franchised focused one.

I know I can improve the art with time. Recently went to Nostalgia Con as a basic Nick Wilde. Met Roger Craig Smith (Trap Jaw in the 2021 Netflix show). Really nice guy.
