@dgsimo Congrats on that Scare Glow! I gave up hope and bit the bullet and ordered him on Mercari for not too bad of a markup. Still en route.
I had a Golden Skeletor for a while (from Wally online!) but only opened him now and like him.
Still holding up hope those Mighty Masters will show up regularly on Walmart online one day… I preordered the Core 4-pack from Amazon, which should satisfy most of my Core needs.
I hope to get some more movie stuff from Creations on the 25th 🤞

The Walmart app and site just seems useless or unreliable for some stuff. The store I went to today with a shelf full of Scareglows according to the site and app still says the store doesn't carry them...

I'm really starting to get sick of all the lying going on among this fandom & the Youtubers. Why? Because I have not heard 1 single negative thing about any of these new movie toys. 100% positivity is unrealistic. They are saying everything looks awesome. And they are all acting like every figure is the greatest MOTU figure Mattel has ever produced. WTF is going on? Nobody is bitching about Spikor's head except me. Filmation also ruined Spikor's face by giving him a human nose, but at least he still looked like Spikor. The rest of the movie body looks cool but they totally ruined his face/head. That is NOT the character Spikor, my #1 fovorite character. But they're all acting like it's the greatest thing.
And the new Beast-Man looks like a wrestler wearing a Beast-Man mask. Like another WWEternia crossover. It looks like Beast-Man's head on a He-Man body with naked Stratos' arms & legs. And everybody keeps repeating "AWESOME" over & over again. That is easily the worst Beast-Man figure Mattel has ever made (ignoring the 87 movie), even the crappy ReAction figure looks more like the actual Beast-Man.
I'm losing all respect for every MOTU reviewer on Youtube. I've been collecting toys since 1977 & I have never seen this level of shilling before. It's sickening now. Every new figure is "AWESOME, the greatest ever. There is no honesty at all. Seriously, what the hell is going on with these people? I expect an even 50/50 mix of positive & negative. But all I'm seeing is 100% positive. Do they think saying something negative about the toys will tank the movie? I've never seen such dishonesty among toy collectors before. My eyes work, I'm not blind. So who are they trying to fool?
Beast-Man's head is bright orange & the rest of his body is brown. And they're raving about him. WTF is going on? Seriously!
@sci-fitsunami looks like Scare glow. They just got packed out and were 10 on shelf. Came to $29.33 with tax. I hope they don’t release in waves like Masterverse, I don’t feel like dropping $120 up front
I keep checking my Walmart for Scare Glow but no luck so far. They told me the 8th, 21st, 24th & 25th. So I'll be checking today & tomorrow. But the only thing my Walmart seems to restock are Transformers. I picked up Liege Maximo a couple days ago.
But they had the new gold Skeletor twice. Only 1 hanging there 2 separate times. One employee told me they had Scare Glow at the end of last month, but another employee went to the back to check & they told her they won't be getting any until the release date April 25th. So I don't understand how every different employee can give me a totally different answer every time. I just hope they start getting a ton this weekend. That would be a cool shelf warmer. Might even be able to army build them if they go on clearance later.

Yeah I’m physically not able to go to stores, so the online world is all I have…
It doesn’t help that WM stores and the website operate very independently. I’m not surprised about lack of synchronicity. At some point they were like two separate entities! It still doesn’t look like it’s much better, despite them making efforts for better integration.
@sci-fitsunami I don’t understand some online warriors’ obsession with calling out supposed LIARS!!!! online. Saw it first with Kevin Smith. It’s like this strong name-call. Worse than saying “those a**holes!”
Meanwhile in our culture, everybody is lying all the time, esp online. It sucks yeah, but too much effort calling everyone out
But maybe, maybe they are not lying, but are just swept up in the hype? Excited about brand new figures?? Not everything is a conspiracy.
I got into the new Beast Man because he is really big! A giant. He’s not perfect, I get what you’re saying. But in hand he’s pretty fun.
And my first piece of movie merchandise! Woo! See, there’s that hype again.

Suffice to say everyone has listings up now. I ordered the Chronicles He-Man, Skeletor, Trap-Jaw and Battle Cat off Amazon to be here today while pre-ordering Teela, Evil-Lyn and surprisingly an unannounced Beast-Man over at BBTS!
Amazon Canada also has a listing for what looks like the Castle Grayskull playset but it sold out. 🤔
My insomnia woke me at 3:30am (30 mins after the floodgates opened on the East Coast), and I figured might as well order what I wanted in Mattel Creations…
And everything I wanted was already sold out! (except Chronicles Trap Jaw)
I went over to BBTS and everything was available there, it even was in stock! Pulled the trigger on several things and spent too much money lol
Chronicles He-Man, Trap-Jaw, Teela, and Core Skel-Knight and Roboto (and a few Marvel things I had in my cart). Except Teela, everything was in stock and is in my POL now, woot!

@thenate I saw this earlier today and I’m really curious to see how well Beast Man is brought to life and just how tempting he’ll end up being. For Ram Man, I’m naturally expecting a few variations here and there, along with a more striking effect for the legs (wishful thinking, right?).

Got the electronic power sword in mail yesterday from walmart for sons bday. Its pretty nice. Glad i got it at 35$ while that is still overpriced, its now $43, which I wouldnt spend 40 for it. Best electronic sword out of the 4 thats been made (i think) the NA one is cool. But the 200x and cgi version are ugly.

@banthafett I LOVE my New Adventures power sword! I have had it since 1991, and it remains my favorite.
There was also another NA prop sword made for a costume company I think...? It is closer to the actual look of the toy. I really like this one too.

I went out this morning looking for Scare Glow AGAIN. They told me the 8th, 18th, 21st, 24th & 25th. Now they pushed it back again to the 27th. They are making me waste so much gas, it's really starting to piss me off. Today is the release date & Scare Glow on the Walmart website should have went LIVE, IN STOCK & READY TO SHIP. I should have been able to order it already & stop wasting gas. This is why I'm on my way out of the toy collecting game. We're in 2026 with modern technology that was supposed to make everything work better & run more efficiently but everything is more fucked up than ever.
I went to 2 Walmarts & 1 Target & they had NOTHING! I'm not sure if my local Target is even carrying MOTU anymore. All they had was 1 peg where Starscream/Scare Glow used to be. They were already clearanced out for $16 & unfortunately, I totally missed it. There are no pegs for MOTU anywhere. No place for anything from the movie.
I was looking at the Fright Fighter & Spikor on Target's site & they both say "THIS ITEM IS NOT SOLD IN STORES". Ouch!
And Walmart has 1 empty spot on the shelf for Scare Glow & 2 empty pegs for the gold Skeletor. That's it! They can't even be bothered to stock them.
Is it the same in your area? It looks like my area isn't even carrying any of the new movie stuff. I don't know how it is in other areas but so far, it looks like Target & Walmart are pretty much done with MOTU. Not looking good from what I'm seeing. But I could be wrong.

Exactly! Hype & Rose-Tinted glasses. Saying every single item is "Awesome!" & "Looks great!" is basically lying. They're supposed to be reviewing the figures, not pushing artificial hype.
The only honest thing I've seen is everybody is bitching about Battle Cat's mask falling off with the slightest breeze or vibration. No way to lock/snap it down.

Yeah it looked real nice in the store and you get to hear Nick say the full "By the Power of Grayskull. I HAVE THE POWER!". I ordered one from Target when they went up for preorder at the beginning of the month and only had to pay $15 thanks to some old gift cards.
So Spikor is showing up in stores? I wonder why the web page says "This item isn’t sold in stores"?
Amazon coming in clutch again. Today the Roton and Chronicles Skeletor and Trap-Jaw arrived today! I won't get a chance to open them until another day but the Roton is bigger than I expected but so cool looking with a neat feature.
Trap-Jaw and Skeletor though look so freaking awesome! The paint app on Trap-Jaw is especially good with the blue body paint and the various Metallica on the cybernetic features especially the legs.
