@onlyoneskeletor I'm getting skelegod, I'm too devoted to origins that I can't commit to Masterverse, but I'll take it slow.
@cosmic Tell me about it! I never even had the chance to get her as a kid since she just wasn’t available in France. Our Belgian neighbors, however, were much luckier than us. One day, I grabbed my scissors and cut out the back of my mini-comics, where a few characters like her were featured, and played with her paper version until it completely wore out (lol).
@kinggrayskull09 I understand. For me, Origins is the perfect opportunity to complete both MOTUC and Masterverse, including their vehicles and playsets. I'm really grateful that this line exists.
@onlyoneskeletor I just live the vintage feel to them. I miss when it was a more contained line though.
That’s awesome! Kids have imagination. I drew some characters and made sort of paper dolls / figures for some figures I didn’t have, or even my own characters 😁@cosmic Tell me about it! So now Beast-Man is on Mattel Creations along with Teela. It's tempting to get one just because it's a new figure but I have to keep telling myself that I DO NOT NEED another freakin Beast-Man.
I'm also not sure about this new Evil-Lyn. It's cool because it's a great update for the vintage figure. But I never really liked the bright yellow skin Evil-Lyn. I'm 50/50 on this one.
And Wun-Dar? I have my custom Masterverse Wun-Dar so that just feels like a waste of money. Like King Grayskull, it's not a character I really care about.
I don't think I'm going to get excited over any MOTU figures anymore unless they start making the Snakemen, Rio-Blast, Blast Attak, Extendar, the comet warriors & more girls from POP. Chronicles or Vintage Collection, doesn't matter. I need characters that I don't already have. I get bored very easily. And the same characters over & over again just ain't doin it for me. I want 1 of each, not 5 of 1 & 0 of another.
The Bad To The Bone creature would make an amazing addition for any Masterverse or MOTUC collector. It’s currently available for preorder, with the project needing a minimum of 1,000 units to move forward. For those worried about cost, you can spread payments into four installments. The Early Bird offer prices each piece at $200 with free shipping included.
@kinggrayskull09 Indeed, Motu has always been about creating entire worlds filled with citizens, castles, altars, creatures, and more. That’s why I find any Motu-related collection far more exciting, driven by such a rich and immersive philosophy.
It's awesome but Ramen is horribly overpriced. The Shark from M.A.S.K. was always my most wanted vehicle so I naturally wanted to get Ramen's version until I saw the insane price. This is becoming a hobby for only the rich.
@sci-fitsunami To be fair, it depends on several factors. My situation is a bit different as I haven’t purchased any redundant Mattel products for months. Therefore, the opportunity to add another piece to my displays, which mainly feature Motuc and Masterverse figures, is an obvious choice, especially given the impressive level of detail and the fact that I’ve had the funds sitting unused for so long.
@onlyoneskeletor I've had my eye on this for a while now... however, I haven't pulled the trigger for two reasons:
1. I am keeping the faith that Mattel will deliver to us a real, Origins style Battle-Bones
2. I picked up the Ramen Toys Marshal (BraveStarr) figure, and so I of course had to put in my pre-order for Techno Horse (Thirty-Thirty) which is $130USD... that took up my Ramen allowance!!

@ornclown It’s a bit of a shame, as this amazing project still needs a big push right now. For me, it feels like reliving the Mattycollector days and imagining a “what if” scenario where the Battle Bones finally come to life with the incredible craftsmanship of the Four Horsemen. Fingers crossed it eventually makes its way into reality.
Walmart.com informed me they have shipped my MV “Vintage” Beast Man, yay!
@ornclown That Techno Horse looks magnificent. This is way out of my price range (I only have the little Bravestarr from… 4K Toys was it?), but I have been looking at this… (need the bigger Marshall then, too…)
@cosmic To be honest, I'm actually surprised Super7 hasn't made BraveStarr figures. They seem like the perfect landing spot for this franchise...
Who knows? Maybe after they finish their TigerSharks line, they will move onto Black Star and BraveStarr!
(Then prices will still be high, but not as exorbitant as Ramen's!)

There hasn’t been any official remake of Bravestarr since the original line, right? Not even merchandise, or comics?@cosmic To be honest, I'm actually surprised Super7 hasn't made BraveStarr figures. They seem like the perfect landing spot for this franchise...

Makes me wonder about the rights situation. But nothing is impossible, as we’ve seen time and time again, no matter how complicated rights may be.
I would love Super7 takes on Bravestarr, even though their prices have gotten too high for me, only picking the absolute must-haves. I think for Bravestarr, if the price was right, I would break my rule of not starting a new line, might even go all in.
Do you hear me, Mattel? Anyone?
If Mattel could somehow wrestle the rights for BraveStarr, it would be an awesome sub-line for MOTU Origins. I've always wanted to retcon Rio Blast's origin as being from the planet New Texas.
The characters in the show would be perfect additions to the MOTU roster while retaining their distinctive 'western' style / designs.
However, if that dream never comes to fruition, I'd love for Super7 to finally make these... I NEED a Tex Hex action figure!!
Also, I thought I'd drop a picture of the BraveStarr movie poster in here for no other reason than because it's awesome!

@ornclown Loved that movie, love the cartoon, and totally agree. Any Bravestarr would be fun, but if they’re compatible with MOTU, even better!
Is anyone else a fan of the new Eternia Evil-Lyn figure? I honestly think she looks incredible
@andyhazarduk Finally, someone has brought this topic back on track, I was starting to lose hope (lol). She’s likely the most beautiful female figure in this line in terms of execution. The Vintage Collection figure should be available for preorder through Walmart very soon.
@andyhazarduk Yes she’s amazing! One of the best Masterverse figures, and probably my favorite Evil Lyn figure (and I have quite a lot lol).
Come on, Mattel! If you’re going to end this adult collector line, at least do it with some respect. Nobody wanted Evil-Lyn to look so childish as an MV figure, especially when her NE version is undeniably fabulous. Sure, the flame effect she comes with is awesome, but it’s not enough to make up for that misstep. Honestly, it’s just exhausting.

@onlyoneskeletor Thanks for posting the pic. Hm I don’t hate it. Yes less realistic, but maybe appropriate for a “vintage” release?
I am not sure if I need her in any case. Got so many Evil Lyns already… my yellow MOTU Classics is a bit beat up, to get her at a good price had to make compromises. But do I really need this one… Again, after all these many MV releases…
The cape and the effect are great additions though.
