I’ve seen this seller’s name in connection with other frustrations in the past, when they had other figures in abundance that were otherwise hard to get.same scalper on Ebay who sold 100 pieces of VC Mer Man, now is selling VC Beast Man...can anybody else buy these toys? what's going on here ?
I just noticed that Mer-Man's page is now back up on Walmart. Now let's see of he ever shows up IN STOCK or stays sold out forever just like Man-At-Arms.
He still says "PRE-ORDER" so there's still hope. But I think we all need to start calling Walmart & bitching about this situation. Never available online & never stocked in their stores. These figures are supposed to be readily available in every one of their stores. But they pick & choose which stores they will send them to. Usually the bigger higher traffic stores which leaves mine out.

Like I said before, I think they were STOLEN RIGHT OFF THE CARGO SHIP ON THE DOCK. Some kind of shady connection on the dock or airport or wherever these things first hit the US. Or straight out of the factory in Vietnam. It has been going on for decades with Transformers. These toy scalpers have no morals, just like any other criminals. You've seen the movies, stealing & reselling cars or diamonds or priceless art. Just look at what these bastards are doing with Pokemon cards. They are criminals & everybody buying them off eBay for $65 are also criminals. Most of the Youtubers buy these so they can get the first review months in advance. Everything in this world is corrupt & some type of criminal network. Nothing about this world is on the up & up. Everything is rotten! Most humans are rotten!
That's what I think & until somebody can prove otherwise...
It’s unfortunate that probably for some of the suits and Excel-pushers at Mattel, they don’t see it as a problem as long as stuff gets sold. If scalpers buy large quantities all at once, it might not bother them.
I hope that others are more reasonable and perceptive and see that this practice is killing the hobby and disinfranchises the fans, and will step in.
Obviously, if they are actually being stolen, I would think they start investigating for sure.

After years & years, Hasbro finally did something about the Transformers KO's coming out of China. One day they were no longer allowed to be sold on eBay. And that's the last we heard of it. That didn't stop KO's & 3rd party Transformers from being produced. And then Hasbro moved production from China to Vietnam. I don't think they can really do anything outside of America. If these things are stolen out of the factory in Vietnam they'll find a buyer in America like this one scalper selling Mer-Man & Beast-Man. That's why I immediately noticed the seller is in CA. That's where all these toys first hit. They're really getting stolen from Walmart.
I think. I'm not 100% sure about the details but it makes sense since there is only 1 eBay seller in CA. with these things.
The only other thing that it could be is Mattel is shipping to this 1 seller way before everybody else. And that doesn't seem likely.
That ponytail from the new 200x Origins Teela is definitely going on one of my extra Masterverse heads. I bought 2 New Eternia & 2 Vintage Collection Teela's so I have extra heads for customs.
@sci-fitsunami You re-attach just the hair / ponytail? Cause the head might be a bit small looking on a MV Teela. These newer “Origins” have different proportions with a smaller head I think.
With the TF Knock-Offs that are no longer allowed on EBay, you mean those who really are … exact-ish forgeries of the actual Hasbro / Tony figures, right?
I always get confused b/c there are still 3rd party TF interpretations on BBTS etc. Those seem to not bother Hasbro (yet). Probably because they are way pricier. Still funny that there’s so much stuff being sold without license.
@Cosmic I'll get the Teela for my origins collection. Then I'll make a copy of the head in resin & then cut the ponytail off for a Masterverse figure.
The exact copies of Transformers were taken down. 3rd party are not illegal because they are totally different figures with different names that just look similar to the actual Hasbro products. "Inspired by" but not stealing Hasbro's actual products.

I mean, the TF characters are supposed to be the ones we know, given a different name but we know who it’s supposed to be.., so it is still kinda funny to me.
But I have no beef with it, just an observation.
So these things are actually compatible with Masterverse? That's good to know. I will pick up actual MOTU characters like Scare Glow. But I have no interest in the SDCC cosplayers from the movie. I seriously cannot see the characters, I can only see cosplayers. Fans in cheap, half-assed costumes trying to dress up as MOTU characters & failing miserably, especially Teela. There is absolutely nothing "Teela" about the movie Teela. Same problem with the 87 Teela. They didn't even try. But Scare Glow on the other hand is chef's kiss.
Look at this dude! He looks like a 12 year old on steroids. Why would anybody want this figure??? It doesn't even look like a "MAN". This could be Prince Adam maybe? But definitely not He-Man, more like He-Boy. Sorry, but I just don't get it.

I collect MOTU not these SDCC cosplayer figures. Scare Glow is beyond awesome. But I won't be wasting my money on He-Boy. He's still way too small compared to the other Masterverse figures. He looks like a little boy on steroids.

Well, I hope your kids enjoy it. But I am one of the original kids that helped make MOTU the smashing success it was in the 80s. I was a MOTU fan buying the toys BEFORE the Filmation cartoon even hit. And I feel completely alienated/left out. What they did with this movie is horrible for all us original fans who have been waiting 40 years for a proper MOTU movie. I waited 40 years. 40 years to see my favorite characters on the big screen. The 87 movie totally failed. And now this movie is giving me a black Man-At-Arms & Tri-Klops. A Roboto that looks like Scrapper from Pacific Rim Uprising. And a young girl that doesn't even resemble "Teela" in any way. At least Man-At-Arms & Tri-Klops outfits look right, but Teela's outfit doesn't even resemble Teela's outfit from MOTU except for the colors. I supported this brand since the beginning. Your kids are getting this movie because of kids like me from the 80s. And in return; they just gave me the finger. THANKS A LOT!

@sci-fitsunami You get so frustrated all the time. I'm an OG pre-Filmation MOTU collector/fan as well, but your rants go overboard and sound very entitled. I'd love nothing more than a movie with character costumes as close to vintage as possible too, but I hope you realize that every single one of us fans would create a different MOTU movie than anyone else. It's impossible to be 100% satisfied, so you just have to accept that there will be different interpretations of the property. I'd suggest you branch out into different hobbies and interests if current MOTU related products and media are causing you so much grief. I have!
@sci-fitsunami Yes a lot of the world sucks but I think that was always the case, just in different ways. What matters is, how we handle it. (There are also good and beautiful things ever day, that don’t get reported).
On the other hand, when it comes to the new movie, I seem to recall numerous members here who are not thrilled about it or have no expectations towards it either. Ur not alone.
Just maybe during this time, the positives outnumber the negatives? The forum isn’t as super busy as past MOTU forums?
I remember with Revelation it was the other way around, and I don’t think it was a particularly nice phase of the fandom.
Not sure if anyone discouraged you from posting your criticisms… but you also shouldn’t wish on others to be… less happy about the movie…? Not sure what to tell ya.
When u complain about the difficult times, I see negativity and aggression being one of the problems of our times. So if some of us say, ok let’s see what this movie is like, trying to be positive… I find that actually an encouraging sign of our times?
I had no expectations towards this movie, because to me, MOTU are toys and comics and maaaybe animation, but a movie is a different animal and it will never be what I imagine. (I always saw the MCU as cosplay, too). BUT, it will happen, so I’m trying to have fun with it anyway.
Like the CGI series, like parts of the DC comics or even Revolution, I see it as a different thing, not the end-all-be-all of MOTU.
Also, none of us have seen the movie. Despite not being what you expect, it might be a bucket of fun after all.
(I’m also an OG fan, toys and mini comics, didn’t have the cartoon, prefer Alcala books most of all).

I don't know if this is a fair assessment.
I think that the MOTU community is one of the closest and strongest in all of fandom. An overwhelming majority of us always look out for the other guy.
I know that it can be incredibly frustrating being a passionate fan (heck, try figuring out Mattel when it comes to New Adventures...), but don't let anger make you say something that you might regret later... especially in the one place that understands how you feel.

While there are several AI generated Masterverse figures circulating the community, it will be ultimately a great disappointment if we never see the Tri-Sorceress and (Uber) He-Man from "Masters of the Universe: Revolution" subline realized in Masterverse plastic. (Thanks to Raúl)

I'm not even sure how I'm supposed to "get" anymore.
#1. The entire world has this apathetic "I don't give a fuck" attitude. "I got mine, to hell with everybody else." It's sickening & it never used to be this bad.
#2. I am trapped in some weird, twisted reality where Kristin Wiig from SNL is ROBOTO of all characters. Somehow, I slipped into an alternate reality straight out of the TV show Sliders. And I really don't like it & I don't know how to GTFO.
#3. Everybody is acting like a bunch of stoners "Hey man! Just chill! It's all good man! Just accept it man! Don't "get" like that!"
#4. Masterverse is on pause & the Vintage Collection is now an eBay exclusive. Walmart just took down the Man-At-arms page. So my #1 favorite collection just got abruptly cut off. I can't afford to pay $40-$64+ for each figure. And unless they have some surprise reveals planned for SDCC, Chronicles Scare Glow is the only figure for me to buy all year. Only 1 so far. And Walmart will probably fuck up that release too.
#5. I have been patiently waiting 5-6 years for Masterverse Rio-Blast, Extendar, King Hiss & the Snakemen. But instead, Mattel reveals this fuckin monstrosity:
So yeah, I don't even know how I'm supposed to "get" or feel anymore. I'm just gonna sit here in total shock. I can't believe the insanity/lunacy I'm seeing. Seriously, FLORAL HE-MAN? Who the fuck asked for THAT? They can't make Perfuma but they can make Flower Power He-Man? And Kristen Wiig as Roboto??? And now there's a Barbie x MOTU crossover? Wasn't Princess Of Power already supposed to be the Barbie-like crossover for the girls?
DEAR GOD! Stick a fork in it! I'm done! I'm gonna go buy some overpriced Transformers. It got really dumb over here.

I don’t think the real problem of today is that people don’t get outraged enough and are too chill… I think it’s that they get outraged way too much.
P.S. I ordered Vintage Masterverse Beast Man Today… and Teela… not really sure why… I mostly wanted that Gold Skeletor.
But that Beastie looks pretty good, and Teela’s head makes her… 5% better than the other one, as someone fittingly said. Nothing else for me to order right now 🤷
