It is confirmed, Princes of the Universe is in the movie. Also, one of tthe post credits scenes is a nod to the cartoon. I hope it's like the opening "I am Adam..." Or the PSA. I guess the other post credits scene is amazing as well. They kept Cringer in the Amazon MGM logo.
OK! Now I get it! Thanks to Emergency Awesome, I now understand why I am the only MOTU fan pissed off at how they fucked up most of the characters. Because the only thing anybody cares about is He-Man & Skeletor. Emergency Awesome explained it for me. Basically, He-Man & Skeletor are the only things that matter & to hell with everything else. None of the other characters matter. That's why none of you care about Spikor or Roboto like I do. The main thing I wanted was for ALL of the characters to look perfect like Trap-Jaw. ALL of the characters! Every single one, not just a handful. But nothing else matters except He-Man & Skeletor.
Which is still weird because Skeletor's outfit was so easy to put in the movie but they still fucked that up too. Have you guys ever seen the Mondo Skeletor? THAT is how he should've looked in the movie. How is it that a small company like Mondo can make Skeletor absolutely PERFECT but a huge Hollywood production with a 250-million-dollar budget can't even get his outfit right? WTF?
And why is this movie a reboot? WTF are they rebooting? This is the first REAL MOTU movie ever made. That 87 movie doesn't count. So why are they rebooting the franchise right from the start? Why can't they just make a good MOTU movie where ALL the characters look right? No drastic redesigns (Spikor & Roboto). No race or gender swapping. Cast Idris Elba as Clamp Champ not the WHITE character.
You guys don't like my criticism, or as you love to call it "negativity" but the fact is, the only thing this race-swapping shit accomplishes is less ticket sales. Instead of doing it right & getting 100% of the ticket sales, you just pissed off a ton of those people & that means less asses in the seats.
If you don't mind the race swapping, other people do. So if you don't care either way, just don't do it. Make Man-At-Arms & Tri-Klops white like they're supposed to be & we can all enjoy the movie. Why alienate half the audience over something that's not even important? You totally ruined the movie for me, I can't enjoy it with the rest of you. And for what? How do you benefit? Are you happy that I can't enjoy this movie with the rest of you & they totally fucked up my favorite character Spikor?
Everybody keeps saying "Travis Knight respects the source material". That is the biggest load of BS and you know it! They couldn't even get Skeletor's fuckin outfit/costume right. JESUS CHRIST!!!
@sci-fitsunami Well first, I will say that channels like Emergency Awesome and Everything Always prey on people's negativity and naivety. 99% of the time, they just make up their own news and use terribly spliced videos or bad A.I. generated vids and pics to keep viewers' attention.
I recommend not helping them to pay their rent. They need to go get real jobs.
Second, you keep using a broad stroke to label anyone who is excited about MOTU 2026 as being in the wrong somehow. You are manufacturing rage about this movie and using it as some kind of proof that you are the only real MOTU fan to have ever existed. None of us "care about Spikor or Roboto" like you do???

I would suggest (again) you go into this movie with an open mind, but that door is clearly shut. You have made up your mind about it already... yet, somehow it continues to live rent-free in your brain for all the wrong reasons.
I'm sorry you don't like how Spikor turned out... but, y'know what? Back in 1989 a guy named Tim Burton gave one of my all time favorite superheroes, Batman, a black costume... can you believe that?? A BLACK costume??
Well, I got over it. And, it somehow has worked out.
Just think of MOTU 2026 as an alternate reality. In some parts of the MOTU multi-verse, Spikor and Roboto remain exactly as you like them. Done. 😀

@sci-fitsunami okay bro, this is a movie based off kids toys, and at this point, you are being negative. Us other fans aren't mad like you, because we don't give a shit, because the designs look cool. Except roboto. The race swapping isn't harming the movie at all. This movie has a really good cast for the characters. Us other fans don't care, because we know they will do good as the characters. For the first time in years, this is a reboot that both sides of the political spectrum are agreeing about; this will be awesome. And I don't like politics. If you don't like the movie, which is hasn't even come out, then DON'T COMPLAIN! END OF STORY! nobody wants to hear your opinion at this point because you're being annoying, so it's not even like you're calmly voicing your opinion. Grow up, and accept the future of the brand. You excepted AI slop somehow. Why don't you tell that to make you a movie, I'm sure it will "comply". If you don't the movie so much, then why are you bitching about it on every place? Also, you have to move on from women being "hot" in kids movies. Why don't you get a girlfriend or something. And if you do, then show her some attention instead of this. And I'll tell you, Camilla Mendes is ABSOLUTELY Beautiful and Gorgeous! So I don't know what you guys are talking about. I defended you before because I felt a little understanding, not anymore.
After seeing the new clip with Skeletor & Evil-Lyn, I no longer know what to make of this movie. I originally thought it was going to be a MOTU movie. Serious but with some comedy. They have been comparing it to Thor Ragnarok but after seeing that clip, it looks more like an Austin Powers comedy/parody. Skeletor directly rips off Dr. Evil. Evil-Lyn sounds like Buffy or like a little girl. Alison Brie is all wrong for Evil-Lyn, she is way too cute & nice to be playing an evil character. The entire thing feels like an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Xena. The vibe feels like it was made for TV or Amazon Prime, not a huge theatrical release. The Dr. Evil joke doesn't really land.
And unlike over here where it is getting nothing but unconditional love & praise, on Facebook there is a love/hate reaction with very little in between. That's what I'm looking for. Both positive & negative. Not the 100% artificial positivity you get on this forum. I want to see both sides. I want to see some negative opinions too. 100% positivity like you see on this forum raises a lot of red flags. Keep it real!
And it might just be me, but I can't understand half of what Skeletor is saying/mumbling. I need the subtitles on.
I'm waiting to see how this all pans out over the next week. But I was definitely not expecting an Austin Powers/Airplane/Naked Gun/Hot Shots comedy.

It is for me & all the other fans who want & expect Man-At-Arms to be the Man-At-Arms we have known for the past 40 years. The race swapping killed it for me. And I'm not the only one. Race swapping Man-At-Arms doesn't take away anything from the character but at the same time, it doesn't add anything to the character either. Why can you just leave the character alone so we can all be happy? Why fuck up the character for those of us who do care? You said it yourself "WE DON'T GIVE A SHIT!" I don't really understand how you can be a "FAN" and not give a shit? I'm complaining because I DO GIVE A SHIT! And these character designs are not cool, they look like cosplay. If the change doesn't add anything then why make the change? Hollywood always has to drastically change everything. And I am sick of it. There was absolutely no reason to change Skeletor's outfit but they just had to. Why? Simply because it's what Hollywood always does.

This was all so sudden & random as hell. Just like a car accident or a train wreck. Last year was totally awesome with Masterverse Mantenna, Despara, Dragstor, Kobra Khan & Ninjor. This year was a sudden surprise sucker punch to the balls.
