I’m always excited seeing these cross references. The new Chronicles Scare Glow borrows from Mondo, this new Tri-Klops does the reverse… It’s always fun to spot these connections, especially in recent lines.
I just got a shipping notice for my She-Ra 2.0...

With this 1/6 Triklops taking the monthly slot, it's pretty safe to bet that April will be dedicated to either 200X Teela or Mer-Man. 🤩

Dude I passed on She-Ra but I am kind of regretting it. Did you get Swift Wind too? They both shipping?
@kraken No, I didn't get Swifty... and now I kinda wish that I just pulled the trigger.
However, the price for him was / is ludicrous, so I'm not too heartbroken...plus, She-Ra will look just as good standing next to her brother in my display sans Swiftwind.
I'm not sure if he is shipping right now, but I'd imagine they were produced at the same time like Scare Glow and Scare Mare, so they should be arriving at the same time.

She-RA and Swiftwind arrived today. The presentation box is beyond beautiful. Better than anything Mondo has released before. The new She-RA feels a leap beyond any of the existing Mondo releases, if that is even possible. Swiftwind is amazing and the accessories go on for days. The included print will be framed and hung in short order. My only gripe is I didn’t luck out and get the rainbow Loo-Kee.
I’ve picked up every release from this line since the beginning and hate having a gap in the series; it will drive my completionest nature crazy. Hopefully someone will part with one on scalperbay.
@onlyoneskeletor Yeah I think that would be a pretty safe bet. Mer-Man and Teela were in the full rendering phase as of December so I would imagine they'd have samples up and painted by now
@sshook27 I would love to see a picture of them. I passed on She-Ra and kind of regret it. I have the first one already, but have been considering offloading her to a friend of mine since he really likes that rendition of the figure and I'm not the biggest She-Ra fan.
@ornclown occasionally the Mondo figures will ship early if they're ready. Its happened before in the past. It was only around Scare Glow and the start of the tariffs that some figures were delayed

- Team was excited to do Tri-Klops and are very happy with how his paint apps turned out. Once again reiterated that there are some great 1/6th figures coming this year
- Reconfirmed that Flocked Panthor is still on deck for this year
- Specifically asked the chat to vote on whether or not a 1/6th scale Deluxe Mer-Man should be made. It was completely in favor of a re-issue/redo. The same thing was asked about 1/6th Man-At-Arms and the same response was given
That's about it for the main points. They spent the rest of the time talking about Tri-Klops and also had the Cryptoids team on for 20 minutes at the end of the stream.

Absolutely. Everyone who questioned Mondo about this on their social-media pages got ignored.
While I can see how this would be a fun thing to do, it will ultimately come back to bite Mondo in the butt... people paid $1K for this bundle (possibly more depending on where you live), and should not have to cross their fingers hoping to get something that should already be included.
Mondo should have hidden Loo-Kee throughout the boxart and had fans complete a form online telling them where Loo-Kee was located in the artwork. Once the form is submitted, Mondo ships you the Loo-Kee variant free of charge.
I didn't get the bundle (I just got She-Ra), but dammit, I want that standard Loo-Kee figure!!

I really have to agree with this.
I got my She-Ra 2.0 today and, holy gods, she is an incredible work of art. The engineering is out of this world. I wasn't too keen on how Evil-Lyn's faces turned out, but every single head that this She-Ra has looks gorgeous... seriously, it's going to be hard to decide which one goes in the display.
Beyond that, her accessories are almost intimidating, lol. She has so many display options that you could literally have four of these on your shelf - all unique from one another.
I am so glad that I upgraded from my She-Ra 1.0... this new figure is museum quality. 😍
I know I often give Mondo a hard time, but they really hit it out of the park with She-Ra. (The only thing I would have liked is a face without the hole in her head for the tiaras...)

For those that wanted pictures, work has been crazy the last week but I’ll try to post some here this coming week. While I’m getting these, I’m thinking of doing a review series covering all Mondo MOTU (figures, records, prints). Also I’ve collected all the statues from PCS, Tweeterhead, and Iron Studios. A lot of them haven’t really gotten any decent reviews. Anyone be interested in seeing some closeup details on these pieces?
@sshook27 Absolutely be interested in seeing more of those things. As someone who can’t collect these sort of upscale things, it is fun to see and enjoy the pics.
Absolutely. I hate having them and not being able to share them with the community. I just don’t want it to come off as look at what I’ve got. I find them all to be works of art and should be seen by the fandom. I don’t know why people haven’t posted more of them to date. I picked up a Tweeterhead Merman bust back at Powercon 2021. I can’t even find a reference to it or a picture online. It’s too awesome to be forgotten.

I would be interested in seeing the Evil-Lyn and Orko Sideshow/Tweeterhead statues. I've been debating on picking up an Orko from eBay. I have the OG Skeletor, but then stopped collecting them until they did Hordak. Since then I've gotten all the non-variant ones. Really hope they redo He-Man since the face sculpt on the first one wasn't great. They are completely stunning though. I love them dearly.
Would love to see that Mer-Man bust you were talking about. I didn't even know they did any other than the Skeletor or He-Man ones. I still regret not picking up that Skeletor bust when it was on sale at Sideshow 🙁

They haven't hit as many Cons this year as they have in the past. Harping back to the King Greyskull Chronicles comment you made I think its a good choice to wait for the Mondo King Greyskull. I feel like he's the next logical Con Exclusive after Keldor. I can almost guarantee that Keldor gets released at SDCC this year as their exclusive.
I'm very curious to see who's coming after Mer-Man and Teela. I reckon it has to be Trap Jaw, but the hero character will be a big surprise.
That new Anti Eternia Exclusive looks really great. I kinda like him better than Standard He-Man. Perhaps the black is slimming lol.’But somehow, his head and body, a tad slimmer feeling, (but still huge), really nails the “200X” vibe for me. Even the head / face.
@onlyoneskeletor here is the 1/6th variant I was speaking about. Admittedly, laser power He-Man would be a pretty sweet figure, but I just don’t have the want or room for variant figures. However, the sword being able to glow might push me over the edge 😅
@smokinya It's almost as if these two companies (Mattel and Mondo) had teamed up on a marketing strategy. 200X characters like: Teela, Orko and Mer-Man are another example of this. I'm also hoping that Flying Fist He-Man won't get lost in Despondos in the process.
Considering how many high-end companies are making Batman and Marvel figures (Inart, Revoltech, Mafex, and whatnot), I wonder if at some point there will be others besides Mondo, who will make these super detailed versions of our favorite heroes and villains…
MOTU is not Marvel, but with the movie, some of these companies might be interested in adding a He-Man and Skeletor to their product range…?
