Written by Back in September 2025, we broke the news that a new upcoming “Masters of the Universe” animated series that was originally billed as a “prequel” to the movie was incorrect… and rather it would likely be a series of animated shorts.
Well now our report turned out to be true, with a recent reveal that a new animated “series” titled “Masters of the Universe: Tales from Eternia” is set to premiere on YouTube this June 10th, 2026.
Brought to us by Snipple Animation (Animaniacs, Teen Titans Go!) , “Tales of Eternia” will consist of 20 x four minute episodes and debut on the Mattel Adventures YouTube Channel and serve as introductory shorts to new fans.
You can already see some of the animation model imagery being incorporated in their YouTube Channel.
So be sure to be on the lookout for this series starting June 10th!

It looks innocent enough, I just hope we get an actual full length animated sequel series to the movie, with the animation style that’s on all the merchandise.
