Hi all,
I hope this post does not already exist, but I want to know if I can take my kid to the premier. On the one hand its a He-Man movie, on the other hand it's PG-13.
Can people who have seen the film chime-in? I know a lot of people don't like spoilers (I only care if it is a murder mystery movie, but I know how super hero movies end) but I'd like some specifics, if possible.
I asked AI, and it said there is no blood or suffering, and that bad guys just get "defeated" instead of killed. It mentioned one scene of a stabbing in the background but noted that the warrior stabbed seemed unaffected.
Then I watched AJ's review on Youtube, and he seemed to indicate that there was a surprising amount of violence and an emotionally impactful main character death...
For those wondering why I don't just, ya know, let my mega-fan kid get older before seeing the film. It's because I know he could really enjoy it as he liked Never Ending Story and the second and third TMNT (from the 90's) films, but I haven't shown him the first TMNT film (1990) because it is, in my opinion, too adult.

I actually just responded to an e-mail about this very same concern, so I apologize if I sounded any alarms. Maybe I can add some non-spoiler context.
When I was talking about the level of violence, it was less in the prism of * can you take children to this PG-13 movie * and more in the prism of * what do fans expect from a He-Man film and will the level of violence in this new movie exceed those expectations.

Also I don't believe I mentioned a main character will die. That would certainly be a spoiler in a non-spoiler review! 😊
