We have the Power!
This is hands down a bottom 5 episode for me. My brother had nostalgic memories of this one from remembering watching it after school, but quickly changed his tune upon a rewatch. The Tingler (I want to know who greenlit that name) is almost nauseatingly nice, the villagers are really dumb, and too much of the episode is Adam and Teela arguing with the bumpkins.
The one bright spot for me is Cringer and Orko pairing up - those two are always entertaining together, especially when Orko coerces Cringer into doing something.
Only ten more episodes. Hoping I find another gem episode or two within that time. Have been recording a list of my favorite episodes or at least ones I really liked within this Watch-A-Thon. 21/130. Not bad, but this ain't in it.
The whole moral about rumors makes me wonder how this type of story would've been covered in a post-internet age somehow?
They think Tingler is ugly? Lady, have you seen yourself in the mirror and your Voldemort-ass nose?
Tingler's voice reminded me of all things this obscure english dub of the latter half of Kimba the White Lion made by a Christian broadcasting network in the 80s that rivals Transformers The Headmasters as the most hilariously terrible anime dub ever. 🤣
