We have the Power!
I've always found this episode to be entertaining, but it's far from perfect. I feel like it would have worked better if they used Squinch instead of creating Smudge for this one. Melbrag makes for a charming new villain but he definitely doesn't fit in the Eternia vibe, frankly it's even a little dated caricature for an 80's cartoon, feels like more of something from the 50's.
It's also both exciting and sad that we're far enough long now that we're getting into the US Season 3/1985 wave with Spikor and the Land Shark, at least they both get more memorable appearances before we're done.
Trying to play catch up after four days after getting back from a trip
That being said, this was a nothing episode.
Does Spikor's voice sound weird? I don't remember him speaking in the 3rd person nor so robotic. Maybe it's because he hasn't been present in the show enough for me to remember.
Like the Widgets, but Smudge is annoying as hell using an identical voice that I swear has been used for three or four other characters at this point.
3 stars. Great moral in this one tho the gambling angle disappears half way.spikor gets shafted in his first appearance, but otherwise this episode is very entertaining.
