Earlier today, the awesome "Discovering Pandora" tagged HE-MANIA.COM on Instagram to show off a couple of brand new Skeletors that he found in a Walmart store in Arizona. So soon? I guess so. That is not the red movie logo. It looks like a separate line. It can't be Disco Skeletor, though. Mattel is not going to launch a line with that variant.
It seems just like a fun … exclusive? I don’t exactly eat a whole line of golden figures now.
That said, he’s really cool! Besides Disco Skell, he also reminds me of the Masterverse variant that came with the Bone Throne. Cool head and packaging.
He reminds me of Classics proportions, but when compared to Origins, he suddenly looks so petite and slim lol (and CC is already slimmer than regular Origins!)
I kid you not I was in Walmart today, wasn't planning on getting any First Ones figures but I saw Skeletor in the clearance section marked for $9 and knew I had to grab him.
I have no idea why he was there when he's a brand new toy and that Walmart didn't have any other MOTU figures on the normal shelves yet. Did find a Vintage Collection Masterverse Teela in the same clearance aisle and knew I also had to grab that.
Like, the movie figures aren't supposed to be out in retail stores for a few more weeks and somehow FO Skel got there and was immediately marked for clearance.
I wonder if it was price marked down because it slipped through the cracks and got to the store early before all the others were meant to be shipped there and they wanted to rid of the single one they got if they weren't getting the sets for a while.
