Okay! So the "build-up a figure" strategy is on with Origins? That’s a smart move considering the modularity of these figures. And a green demon from the famous mini-comics "Masks of Power"?! Awesome!

Hmmm.... isn't every figure a build-a-figure??

I like that we're finally getting the demons from Masks of Power... but, where is the other one?!?

Also, I like the new He-Man harness, but I was hoping they would switch out Skeletor's feet for more human-looking ones... 

That Origins Man-At-Arms in package has no mini-comic 😬 

These reboots are more inspired by the vintage cross-sell art, (like Classics in the beginning), and their materials / surfaces / colors look more like the vintage figures.

(Not so matte as the current Origins)

They gave the demons the CC Filmation evil feet that look a bit like the vintage cross sells.

Beasty finally clawed feet, Stratos keeps his socks.

Not a fan that they are switching to boxes. Will have to really throw away all packaging, for space reasons.

New evil forearms, I think.

And He-Man’s boots and fur pants are now much more similar to the vintage original, they are a reddish brown. 
The recently rereleased He-Man had already those pants, I believe.

why did I even buy the rerelease 😅 Well, for the armor, I guess!

I hate build-a-figure stuff, being “forced” to buy everything.

I do get it though, Mattel has to do something to make the long-time fans buy these characters again. Putting on the screws.

I do like that the most iconic toy designs will be available again at retail.

I know I know, *some* people like BaF, there’s a lively aftermarket on EBay yada yada, but I hate it.

Have to just train myself to ignore it, buy a couple of the figures that I really want, and if I really want the Shadow Beast etc, get the parts on EBay.

The Target I stopped at had six of them on the shelf along with He-Man, Spikor, MAA, and Tri-Klops.

I'm all caught up until Skelly and Teela ship from Target.com (which has been pushed back to October, BTW) 🙁

Looks like my predictions were spot on. I get the sense that Damon, the spokesman at Mattel, was subtly preparing fans for the possibility that the ’87 movie figures might not be produced. He said, “I believe the promise we made to complete the line ended with… the line just before the ’87 characters.” After that, he hinted that the giants (Tytus, Megator) aren’t in the plans. Now it’s just a matter of seeing what the future holds for the closure of the initial line, especially since it’s currently being rebooted. PS: The time code to find that statement is 10:17.

I blame all the "fans" that do nothing but spew hate for the '87 movie, and everyone that insisted that the giants be 18 inches. 

I am going to be absolutely PISSED OFF if we get those stupid Masks of Power demons but not Saurod and Blade! Or Cartoon Collection Glimmer for that matter.
