He has returned! 😆

Ahem..yeah so these look phenomenal! I knew Skeletor would come with Randor's crown and the LED eyes...perfect! Hopefully they're USB powered and not battery.

The pricing at the Hong Kong Comic Con has these for $240 to 280 for He-Man and Skeletor so Sideshow should be around the same price.

Not so big on the He-Man, but Skeletor is very, very tempting. Especially at this price point. Going to need to do some research on how well the all silicone bodies hold up.

That being said, I wouldn’t mind if Hot Toys got the license to make some vintage styled/regular editions of these characters. I can’t see myself picking up any of the heroes from the movie design, but the villains would be really rad.

@smokinya I feel like that would conflict with Mondo who has the license to make 1/6 and 1/12 scale and have that classic/vintage style cornered already but Mattel could still Mattel. 😆

RSVP pages are up for both He-Man and Skeletor on Sideshow so I signed up!

@dgsimo Admittedly, I have no clue how licensing agreements typically work for product like this. Tweeterhead and Iron Studios both make MOTU statues and there was that other company who just released a He-Man and Battle Cat statue. It’s possible that Mattel might only be offering the movie license now to test the waters and might expand the offering later without revoking anything from Mondo. Or maybe Mondo has the license for all 1/6th other than the movie? Who knows.

Been doing some research on other Hot Toys with silicone bodies and they aren’t looking so hot. Seems like they can break down pretty easily even if they use the medical grade silicone.

As predicted, Hot Toys is using a seamless body for both of these.

No problem... I will easily swap He-Man's out for a jointed HT body (or compatible) as to not have the concerns of warping or tearing. Really, it's the tailored costume and striking headsculpt I'm after!

Skeletor, on the other hand, will have to remain in a static pose. After the problems mentioned in the other thread, I just wouldn't want to risk stressing the silicone. 😣

Now, my mind will be blown if HT reveals a movie accurate Battle Cat! That would be unreal... and not unheard of either. Hot Toys already made a 1/6 scale Dewback in their MMS Star Wars series.
