The most powerful man in the universe is now the most powerful man in movies on Amazon Prime Video.
After the film’s worldwide exclusive debut on Amazon Prime Video yesterday, “Masters of the Universe” rocketed to the top of the movie charts overall while securing the top spot in countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany and more!
According to the analytics of Flix Patrol, here is how the Top 10 Movies in the World currently ranks:

He-Man’s closest competitor is “Project Hail Mary” the highly rated sci-fi film which debuted on Prime Video July 3, 2026. The muscled hero has charted 12.18% more viewers than the Ryan Gosling film.

Fantastic news! So, people just didn’t want to go the movie theaters?!?!?!
Well it’s all relative, like not everybody has Amazon, so the chart only pertains to people who do have it. We don’t know how these percentages relate to population as a whole.
But yes, I believe people of Generation X, age group that most likely is attracted to this brand, is going less to theatres, that is part of the problem.
Every generation, as it ages, goes out less. The lockdowns also contributed, many people got used to streaming.
The youngest people are the ones who go to the movies now again. But it has to be something “buzzy”, with internet buzz, a real “event”.
May I also say, these younger gens didn’t really experience MOTU as much because it was dormant too long! Classics was great for existing collectors, but general audience saw no MOTU for … 15 years? That was way too long.

@drakken a lot of people got spoiled during Covid and never reverted back. Same thing with door dash and Uber Eats
