Very nice! One question; why and how tf is Kraven the Hunter on that list? That movie suckeddddd lol 🤣
Fantastic news! So, people just didn’t want to go the movie theaters?!?!?!
Well it’s all relative, like not everybody has Amazon, so the chart only pertains to people who do have it. We don’t know how these percentages relate to population as a whole.
But yes, I believe people of Generation X, age group that most likely is attracted to this brand, is going less to theatres, that is part of the problem.
Every generation, as it ages, goes out less. The lockdowns also contributed, many people got used to streaming.
The youngest people are the ones who go to the movies now again. But it has to be something “buzzy”, with internet buzz, a real “event”.
May I also say, these younger gens didn’t really experience MOTU as much because it was dormant too long! Classics was great for existing collectors, but general audience saw no MOTU for … 15 years? That was way too long.
Cool to see. It will need several weeks at a minimum in the top 10 to have a shot at a sequel. Kraven is in a Top 10 again and we know that dumpster fire won’t have a sequel.
Not going to help much when it comes to earning back the costs of its huge production budget and marketing costs. I guess that it’s fun to have something to be excited about, but it’;s kind of like trying to pop poppers on New Years Eve and they’re all dudes and hours late you find one last one and hope it will mean something…

@drakken a lot of people got spoiled during Covid and never reverted back. Same thing with door dash and Uber Eats
I was one if them, last night! Woooo!
I had so much fun! 🤩 😊
Where was this audience when the film needed it? Too little, too late… 🙁
My family is having a watch party on Saturday. I can’t wait to see it again.
It’s number 1 in Spain now, overall!

Add Australia to the list. I had it on but didn’t have time to watch it. I just wanted to do my bit to boost the Day One number.
Lets hope it stays up there a long time.
