Now THIS is promotion!
Mattel surprised the residents of the city of São Paulo in Brazil with a gigantic new “Masters of the Universe” movie themed lighting rod in the city’s historic center.

Measuring 19 feet tall (6 meters high), this stylized lightning rod is in the shape of actor Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man as he holds his Sword of Power aloft ready to shout “I have the power!”.

This new promotional attraction is part of a larger advertising campaign for the “Masters of the Universe” Movie toy line launch coming April 25th and the film itself.

Cristina Gómez, Senior Manager at Mattel had this to say about it:
“This campaign took one of the most powerful images from Masters of the Universe and transformed it into a real experience. We want to connect fans with the new toy collection in an unexpected way, on a scale that invites everyone to look up.”

Amazing! Thanks to the awesome @dgsimo for the ‘heads up’!
We’ll see you next time!

That is so badass. No one can accuse Mattel of not promoting the heck out of this movie. They are pulling out all the stops.
Are we entering the next golden age of He-Man
That is insane. Mattel is off their rocker.
They should do this at Mattel Adventure Park when it opens never.
Crazy. But in a really cool way.
Romics Festival in Italy also had merch on display with the life-size He-Man and Skeletor figures along with photo ops on the Throne!
I want the bone throne
Fucking epic and totally ridiculous. This is how you build HYPE for a movie. They should do this is in several key cities for maximum exposure and viral potential.
