OUR REVIEW:
Jacob the hermit turns out to be quite the charmer here, in an episode with a title that sounds more like a band name. Featuring Mer-Man as its villain (who is refreshingly competent), while this story's conclusion is truly "out there" literally and scientifically, its surprising warmth and solid construction makes it a fun watch. (7/10)

Tomorrow’s Episode is: “The Littlest Giant”

Love the Widgets so I liked this episode enough. Fun episode where it feels like not that much happens but in a good way. More chill than action packed.
The Widgets found a random old guy and in less than a day, dub them their mayor
*insert topical political joke that I’m too afraid to think nor say on these forums here*
@slycooperastroboy51 9/10 I like it for the same reason. This episode feels more mellow. It’s fun seeing everyone relaxing on the beach and building sand castles. Mer-Man is a threat but he’s not a serious threat. Not like Skeletor. I even like when He-Man moves the moon to change the tides. It doesn’t seem to be a big deal for him. That’s our He-Man.
@samuel agreed, one reason I like Mer-Man episodes as the villain is that he still poses a legitimate threat that requires He-Man, but he’s not as terrifying or all encompassing the way Skeletor can be with his plans. It’s nice to see some smaller stakes adventure (except for pushing a moon out of orbit, ha).
We are currently in a stretch of episodes I have very specific earliest childhood memories of some of these scenes – in this one it’s He-Man fighting Mer-Man underwater for the corodite. I do enjoy this episode, it’s fun, and Mer-Man is my favorite Evil Warrior so I like where he’s the lead. He’s not as grand as Skeletor but still poses a decent enough threat.
Jacob is a fun character to watch grow character wise, it’s too bad he doesn’t show up in any future episodes (like tomorrow where he probably could have talked some sense into Squinch before he goes to make a bargain with Skeletor).
3 stars. Ok episode, widgets are always fun.
