OUR REVIEW:
In yet another moral driven tale that lacks entertainment value, we meet the Keeper, a man driven to grow a circus-like collection of retired Filmation animation models. Rebranding so many developed characters from previous episodes as mindless creatures feels beneath contempt. (2/10)

  1. I sort of like this episode. It’s not the best and I understand the complaint with the reuse of characters. Monsters is one thing but main characters are another. Still I like the episode. Cambro is sweet and I like how Orko and Cambro becomes friends and I like that he becomes Man-At-Arms helper. I really wanted him to become a core character in season two but it never happened.

  2. I like this episode but I also have nostalgia glasses when watching it, this was the 2nd episode on the VHS with “A Tale of Two Cities", which was a frequent rental in our house.

In some ways it feels like a fitting wrap-up to S1 how they reuse so many one time character models we saw earlier. Plus this episode is so much better than Monster on the Mountain, which is basically the same premise, same design for Cambro (although a “different" character), same voice, etc…., and that episode is definitely in the top 10 of worst of the series.
