@he-dad that works for a period of time but eventually you get logged out. Happens to me about once a month
@he-dad nope will happen like all the time, plus if I log into another device I get unlogged on the other device.

Yeah I have problems where it randomly logs me out despite clicking remember me too. Normally it's not a big deal and I can just log back in and stay in for some time, but two days ago I got logged out and then the capthca would not work to let me log in.
I mean it would load. I click on the "I am not a robot" and it just sat there with the spinning circle forever never completing the capthca and thus the log in button stayed grey. For two days! Tried it again today and it finally worked right. Do not want to deal with that again.
Really sorry for the inconvenience! I am looking for ways to improve the login process without weakening the spam wall. (You wouldn't believe the bot / dummy accounts and spam posts made here hidden by a moderator wall... even with these already existing layers of security. It is mind blowing!)

I came here to report the same issue. One of the reasons I disappear from time-to-time from replying on this site is because I get logged out, and it take a while to get back in. Not only do I have to log in back in, but the robots challenges can be rough ... Sometimes throwing multiple grids of "choose the sidewalk" images and not believing my answers.
So, doing some research, several sites report that the max length is 14 days, otherwise it's 48hrs. The alternative, AJ, is to use a plugin or to insert some code manually so you can decide how long - effectively overriding the default settings. Personally, a timeframe like 3, 6, or 12 months would be appropriate, but you know more about the spambots attacking this specific site to adjust to the best setting.

One thing I realized today is that the login session for the website does not match the forums. Meaning, I'm logged out when looking at the homepage, but logged in when I visit the forums - despite them being part of the same login system. I've never seen this before, but it could be a clue about something needing a configuration fix. No rush, but FYI for now. Thanks.

I might not have a way around that unfortunately. While married, the forum is designed to run independently if needed.
So I believe I solved the persistent logging out. Let me know if you still have an issue. 😊
