Pre ordered 2 of the toy power swords from target earlier today. They ship May 1st. My wife will likely not be very excited.

I pre-ordered the Deluxe sword at Target when orders went live. Their sale along with a old gift card burning a hole in my wallet meant it only cost me $15!

I'd kill for the replica but $900 is...oof. The org did do a video interview with Barry from FE and the movie Havoc Staff is just chilling in the background so there's definitely more replicas coming.

I went to a retro game convention a few weeks ago and there was a vendor selling a ton of real metal swords based on various pop culture IP's, and he had a stunning looking power sword there (based on the new movie design). It was beautiful, and I was a bit shocked by how heavy it was. Price was 350 bucks, which seemed rather reasonable to me...

We're officially drowning under piles of Motu movie goodies, to the point we almost wish it would just stop!

@onlyoneskeletor Yeah, it's crazy. We all knew there'd be merch, but I doubt any of us anticipated it would be on such a crazy level considering how Mattel has neglected MOTU for decades until now...

@durendal Indeed. Let's hope this major success happens when the film is released in cinemas on 5 June. This manufacturer really needs to regain the confidence it had in the '80s because, quite frankly, I won't be going around again with Chronicles — let alone its already planned successor!

@onlyoneskeletor @durendal I have no doubt a lot of this will be hitting the bargain bins. Barbie it's not.
