@smitty-81 I think @sketchyskeletor is entitled to his opinion without being insulted. Ragnarok or Guardians of the Galaxy were not my favorite movies either. I prefer movies where not every character is cracking jokes and being silly in serious situations because I find it unrealistic and it prevents immersion for me. But, those movies did great at the box office so, to each their own.
He did. He says "White" right up at the top, lol. But, anyhow, I agree calling people "haters" is immature and not useful. If they're on a fan forum, I'm sure they do not hate everything. And I'm also annoyed with the antiwhite race-swapping. Teela was a beautiful pale redhead. Those are a people. A race. They come from north-west Europe. The Latina they have playing Teela is very attractive, but the bad hair dye job they gave her is stupid and just feels like if they race-swapped Clamp Champ for a Scandinavian whose hair they permed and dyed jet-black.
@sirsavage What's your take on Zodak from 200x then? And don't say "he's a separate character from the original one", that idea wasn't thought of until Classics
Hasbro has the "HAS-BROS" and most of the fans hate them. What can we call the Mattel shills? They need a name too.
Fans.

When did i insult him? Also every time my unit in Iraq got attacked with indirect fire, all we did was crack jokes.
My infantry buddies said all they did was joke after a fire fight.
So joking in high stress, dangerous situations is not unrealistic.

Fandango have done their yearly anticipation survey and MOTU doesn't crack the diverse top ten (seems that's as far as the list went), which might be a real problem for what it cost. 7000 people were questioned and the movies listed are mostly estimate budgeted around 200 million (like MOTU) and above. So Masters will need stellar word of mouth because that's quite a survey catchment and resulting list, but especially to get a sequel.
In easy terms it needs to full-on trounce Supergirl who's near the bottom of the list if the suggestion she's got a $100m budget is true (I doubt it). They spend way too much upfront on movies now.

Giant nothing burger especially when you look at their previous poll results. 😆 MOTU will be fine.

The point would be those movies went on to make either serious money or not enough to break even in real terms because of their budgets. But they still made the list at all to do both. And absolutely everything has changed financially even since then.
@sketchyskeletor The biggest reason why the 1987 movie sucked is because they DIDN'T spend enough money on it!
Amazon has Bezo money. $200 million is a drop in the bucket when you compare the likes of the $500 million they spent alone on 1 season for Rings of Power and another half a billion for the rights.
The make or break for the film, even as voiced by Amazon and Mattel, is how much of a cultural impact it makes and driving toy sales. So far, so good.
