@slycooperastroboy51 I hope so. Don't forget Cringer is on earth with Adam
I wonder how Cringer will look. Will he be more realistic like The Lion King live-action movie or will he be more cartoonish like Scooby-Doo?
@mighty-thanos please not the James Gunn Scooby-Doo look 😭
What about the Scooby-Doo look for Cringer and Lion King look for Battle Cat?
@mighty-thanos no, they should just use Lion King look, but give him the one tooth sticking out
Taking a closer look at the holstered pistol of TEELA, worn by actress Camila Mendes as she filmed scenes for the upcoming "Masters of the Universe" Movie.

So IMAX just released their 2026 calendar list of movies they'll have in their theaters next year.......MOTU ain't one of them. Even though we haven't seen ten seconds of footage yet and next summer will be packed with big franchise movies, anyone else a bit pissed about this?

It's probably the distribution carve up between Amazon MGM (home) and Sony (international). Different takes at different rates. Plus you've three separate outfits funding it complicating things further. Honestly, the biggest issue this movie has faced for at least a decade is budget money. Don't be surprised if the promotion isn't all that with it costing close to 200m. I'd imagine Amazon are like, 'if it works great, if not people will watch the ads around it on Prime.'
@sketchyskeletor Yeah that honestly makes sense
BTW we should all keep in mind with this film's total budget being massive, the extent of it's success is probably gonna be the biggest make or break gamble in the franchise's whole history. We shouldn't worry about anything before there is even a trailer but we still also shouldn't all completely hold our breaths.
The movie tie-in books are now appearing on online stores. Just the kids stuff for now including the Junior novel
With the release date for the junior novel as May 5th and the movie being June 6th (or something), there's definitely potential for spoilers past the trailer. And it includes an 8 page insert of BTS images. The movie tie-in books are now appearing on online stores. Just the kids stuff for now including the Junior novel

Honestly by that time there will have been multiple trailers, images, BTS stuff and cover stories that the kids books won't spoil as much as we think.

Might spoil the ending though.

A lot of these junior novels though don't spoil the ending from what I gather. They're basically condensing down the plot for younger readers while removing some elements that may be too hard to grasp or too violent and even the whole ending all together.

It's bound to have an ending though, they certainly did when I was a kid. Even the Ladybird books I had for movies had movie endings.

It still has to have some sort of conclusion. It is a novel at the end of the day.

Well yeah but it doesn't need to be the same as the film is all im getting at for fear of spoilers. The Guardians of the Galaxy junior novel for example ends at about the half way point in the actual movie with notable scenes missing or changed.
This guy I was watching has talked to someone who was seen the movie. If we get an article about this I'm sure he'll love it. He is always on this website
Imma be honest, Hollywood is in deep shit right now with dumbass execs, mergers, corporate greed with unnamed franchise installments, plans to use AI, etc. etc. etc.
Both Masters of the Universe and Mario Galaxy are the only two movies in 2026 I am legitimately excited for. The former more than the latter.
Even before coming into the fandom this year, I always knew from what I knew of the franchise that He-Man and his world would make for an amazing movie if done well and followed news occasionally of the movie's development hell.
The first plot synopsis got all our hopes down because we thought it would just be another '87 repeat after 39 years. Also Leto cast as Skeletor didn't help matters.
But for the past year as we get more and more news, things just getting better and better. Set photos and interviews from actors saying they love working on it and what they describe as much as they can is intriguing.
Then there was the recent test screening, which was reportedly received very positively. Something both hardcore fans and general audiences can enjoy.
Despite being an adaptation of a famous pop culture franchise and not something original, it sure as hell will FEEL like something original to millions of all ages who have never looked into or have even known about the franchise. Something original that's amazing as hell made by tons and tons of people who actually care about what it's based on while hopefully not being too fan biased when making the movie.
The fact that the teaser for the Moana remake no one on Earth but Disney shareholders and The Rock's ego asked for dropped and that comes out a month after the movie means we may finally get a trailer soon.
To sum up, Masters of the Universe will be the fun, action packed movie audiences NEED that'll feel fresh.
Folks we're officially in December. You know what that means...
TRAILER MONTH!!
It's likely to drop any time in the next 3 weeks, just a question of exactly when. 🤔
k, so this article just came up......damn......
If he makes this decision I have no doubt they're likely gonna kill Duncan off in a hypothetical 2028 or 2029 sequel should next year's movie very likely be a big success because you know Mattel's gonna pull out all the stops in terms of marketing it like with Barbie.
*insert obligatory we're old joke here*
@slycooperastroboy51 Why assume it'll be a big success? That was assumed in 1987 and look at what happened.
If there was any doubt prior, here is a clear shot of the police cruiser photographed during the filming of the new "Masters of the Universe" movie confirming Prince Adam gets arrested in Oklahoma City.
