I've always really liked this episode, it's just fun MOTU. Like any episode, there is some questionable logic (like Squinch going to Skeletor for help) but it doesn't really deter from the story. Great to finally see Panthor again. Making the villains into a loaf of bread just feels like peak '80's cartoons. Also, crazy enough, this is the only time in all 130 episodes Skeletor actually refers to Battlecat by his name, as opposed to some snarky designation.

Only slight criticism is the way the heroes scold Squinch. Yes, he deserved to be scolded but man did they go after him, especially with all the crap they let go in regards to Orko.

I also have to say I've always found the transformation without the theme to be very unsettling.

@battlecat327 I dunno I kinda like when a show like this slightly subvert a once-an-episode trope from time to time. Also like how the 2nd time He-Man thansforms, the usual theme for some reason sounds slightly more grander

Gonna be real, wasn't paying that much attention to this episode. More or less just played it in the background while doing something else. Only other notable thing I can say is Panthor is here. Cool. I wonder why they never gave him a voice? Was it to make him not just another typical usual Skeletor crony? To stand out from Battle Cat? Maybe the latter.

@slycooperastroboy51 I remember reading that Lou considered giving Panthor a voice but I don't know what stopped him from doing it. I think I would have liked it.

@battlecat327 I like that the music stayed the same during He-Man's transformation. The mood doesn't change. It's a great way of transforming without breaking any tension.

Surprise! I love this episode. My only complaint is no Jacob. He didn't have to be part of the episode. He could have been doing something in the background.  I wish we saw him there

@slycooperastroboy51 you guys definitely make good points - I usually enjoy some switch up (like in Keeper of the Ancient Ruins), I just have a hard time separating the theme from the transformation.  It’s just so upbeat and joyful, and for me it works so well with the transformation because it’s emphasizing the hero has arrived to save the day.  That said, I’m glad they did things like this to switch things up - I feel like more people like it than not.
