Now we have a four boy Top 4 - Aaron, Casper, Petro & Vinnie.
 
On Sunday, we have Meghan Markle, Duchess Of Sussex in the MasterChef kitchen with judges Jean-Christophe Novelli, Poh Ling Yeow & Sofia Levin. The fourth judge Andy Allen is absent from the photo (and he was absent from tonight's episode because his wife gave birth to their first baby so he might be out for the rest of the season). There will be lots of fruit and vegetables for Meghan's night.
 
I'm assuming we will have 1 or 2 more Eliminations before the end of the season as there will be Semi-Finals & Grand Finale next week. Then after that we wait until 2027 for the next season.

Meghan Markle, Duchess Of Sussex will be the guest on MasterChef tonight. Here she is with judges Jean-Christophe Novelli, Poh Ling Yeow & Sofia Levin.

Fourth judge Andy Allen is away on paternity leave for the last few weeks of the season.

Tonight is the lead-up to the Semi-Finals this week, and next week will be the Grand Finale. ❤️
 
Previously Eliminated contestants will be back this week on the sidelines to cheer on the final four contestants for the final stretch of the contest.❤️

Monday's MasterChef challenge is all about letters from home.

The show will only be airing on Sunday & Monday for those final weeks - then we have to wait until next April for the 2027 season.

Someone will receive a third prize of $10,000; someone will receive a second prize of $40,000; and someone will receive the grand prize of $250,000 as well as having their name etched on the MasterChef Trophy for all time and the title of MasterChef Champion 2026.

Tonight on MasterChef, The Duchess Of Sussex - Meghan Markle - joined judges Jean-Christophe Novelli, Poh Ling Yeow & Sofia Levin for an epic foodie event. Meghan brought in a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables for the remaining four contestants (Aaron, Casper, Petro & Vinnie) to build a dish around. The pantry and garden were open as well.

 

Judge Andy Allen is still out on paternity leave, and all the previously eliminated contestants were cheering on from the sidelines. Prince Harry himself also called into the show on Meghan's phone to chat with everyone.
 
I do not understand the hate the Sussexes get from people, they both seemed like lovely people.

Our four boys had to choose one of Meghan's ingredients to hero and the winning dish would win its maker Immunity from tomorrow night's Elimination.
 
 
Aaron chose carrots.
 
Casper chose Jerusalem artichokes.
 
Petro & Vinnie both chose celeriac.

There were no bottom dishes tonight, all the dishes were flawless. However, it was Petro's outstanding dessert that won him Immunity from tomorrow's Elimination (the theme is family nostalgia). He also won first spot in the Top 3 in the Semi-Finals & Grand Finale which airs next Sunday & Monday. Well Done Petro!

Tonight on MasterChef was the last challenge before next week's Semi-Final & Grand Finale. 

 
Petro won Immunity last night, so Aaron, Casper & Vinnie were given a parcel from their loved ones containing a letter and an ingredient which they had to use in a dish.

Aaron - Garlic. He made Spanner Crab & Garlic Linguine. The garlic was prepared four ways - confit, oil, chips and flowers - this dish was deemed flawless.

Casper - Green Grapes. He made Almond Biscuit, Pickled Grapes In Chardonnay Verjus, White Chocolate Grape Cremeux, Grape Juice & Verjus Granita & Fresh Grapes. This was the only dish I would have been interested in, but the judges deemed it too sweet and the grape flavour was severely understated and much of it was lost in the white chocolate.

Vinnie - Sardines. He made Grilled Sardines, White Beans, Braised Zucchini & Agrodolce Sauce. He failed to remove the scales before he cooked the sardines which gave an unpleasant eating experience.

Sadly, it was Casper's last cook in the competition as he was Eliminated because he did not hero his ingredient enough.

 

This means our Top 3 are Aaron Kher, Petro Papathomas & Vinnie Gibaldi.
 
The Semi-Final will be a Service Challenge (someone will go home with an instant 3RD Prize) and the theme of the Grand Finale (where the Top 2 battle it out for 1ST Prizes and 2ND Prize) is still under wraps for now.

Last night on MasterChef was a bit of fun to create a diversion from the competition as it heats up (pun intended) toward tonight's Semi-Final & next week's Grand Finale.

Our three finalists Aaron, Vinnie & Petro joined Judge Sofia Levin as judges while judges Poh Ling Yeow & Jean-Christophe Novelli went up against each other in the first round. There was nothing at stake as I said, although the judges joked that whoever lost would have to do the dishes.

Jean-Christophe - Potato & Chicken Mousse Dariole, Crispy Potatoes, Chives, Asparagus & Shiitake Mushrooms & Madeira Jus.

 

In the end it was Poh who won and JC ended up with dish duty because his embellishments lacked finesse.

In the second round, Poh & Jean-Christophe had to team up while Aaron, Petro & Vinnie had to team up in a Judges Versus Contestants battle. Sofia chose two of the previously Eliminated contestants Dot & Luke to become honorary judges. 
 
The two teams had to create an epic feast.
