@andy_wan_kenobi I'm glad you've been keeping this list. I just got some photo album pages and a binder for my mini comics and I needed to figure out the release order.

@smitty-81, and anyone else,  the 5 1/4 x 4 1/4, 2×2  card sleeves work great for vintage and orgins mini comics

Here's an example from Amazon

For Classics size, I'm think I'm using these 5x7 style. There're not as good, but they do work

I got Tauraton today and him mini comic... the art is good.

My thoughts...

• Someone take away Josh's thesaurus.
• Are those warriors a reference to Gauntlet?
• Suddenly the vines attack Tauraton... for reasons...
• Suddenly Sharella on a Turbodactyl!

@smitty-81 Wee I got it early enough to avoid spoilers and to discuss right from the beginning 😃

I like it, too. Especially that the artwork looks like Reilly Brown, even though the cover looks like someone else and not as good. I was concerned when I first saw it. The pages look great.

I have the theory that because Brown is a comics pro, he might be helping to make the books / stories more concise and the storytelling better.

Glad it’s Not their Origin again, wouldn’t have made sense after the CC booklet to repeat it. They found a different way to show them separate, which is cool. But since it’s not a set, could have been a story without the separation, wouldn’t have been fun to see what story they would come up with.

One aspect that doesn’t fit with what I gathered from past canons– both T and B speak in a barbarian, ungrammatical way.
In 200X, (mother of the T&B lore) it’s only Baddrah. (In Filmation, and vintage media, I think they both speak normal.)

He’s also supposed to be the double-headed strategist, but they make them kinda oafish dumb.

I think I would have preferred if at least one of them talk “normal”.

But this is all nitpicking.
As a standalone comic without considering past lore etc, it’s a fun compact story. Love me some compressed storytelling. (We already have long ongoing stories at Dark Horse; I love when I have a complete thing with my action figure purchase).

@cosmic

You make a lot of really good points about the story telling and inconsistency of their characterization across versions of the franchise.

Personally, I would have written a story about their early days as a two headed monster. How they find out that the purple side can control the body. But he's too stupid to do anything without having to be told. And skeletor decrees that the blue side is the boss, but the purple side is the only one that can execute any orders. The conflict wouldn't be between them physically, it would be a battle of wills. The purple side thinks he knows what to do. While the blue side knows what to do but can't get the purple side to cooperate very easily.

@smitty-81 Thank you!

Yeah I can see a story like your idea would be fun to explore the character, his functions inside,… without again putting the splitting / merging theme into the center.

I would think that there are many ideas that you can do with a two-headed monster or a two-headed strategist, or a mix of both, or even just an adventure of Tuvar and Baddrah merged, continuing from after 200X.

But as it is, that merging origin is now, for better or worse, the most prominent aspect of the Two-Bad figure… until we get something else.

Ongoing Dark Horse Masters comic, do your thing!

(but really, I do like the story and the comic, just thinking more “what if”, analyzing,… and spitballing as they say…)

That the king of dark moon from season 2 episode 15

Sometimes I wonder why Josh does things. There's no need for the "Shadow of Skeletor" call back. Trying to make it a "sequel" to a vintage episode takes a lot away from Skeletor and hos and/ or why he got a new look.

Has the Snake-Lair mini-comic been seen in the wild?

I now there have been those preview/early release copies, but what about general release

I just read the Laser Skeletor Story, I liked it (as I like all of them 😝).

I can’t remember the old Filmation episode, but the moons sound familiar from reading the Dark Horse World Compendium.

He used the moons probably to give us a bit of science fiction fitting for the Laser figures, while still staying in the realm of Eternia.

Drawings are excellent. Story conflict very straightforward… but the setting was cool, I thought.

Yeah explaining of the new look wasn’t part of it, but a solid little romp I thought.
