I got one set and they were sold out by the time I doubled back. I had the pages loaded and was refreshing right when the time started but it seems really inconsistent. I pre-ordered a WWE Superstars Vader last year and they cancelled it about a month ago. So I'm developing a backup route that will hit a few different Walmart just in case.

I have the free time to do this shit as a hobby, but it really is awful for people who don't have the time or lack access to that many different Walmarts.

I would love to know what your backup route is. Can you tell us?

@asterstar Sadly it's literally a route of rural walmarts that seem to still get MOTU stock before others do. I got Duplico in store that way and my first WWE Earthquake, so I'm going to keep going.

@andy_wan_kenobi Walmart is better about stocking their Transformers sub-lines than they were about the single figure exclusives.

@kraken I’m debating on getting lord gr’asp and terroar from eBay before their prices go any higher

@brasco I did which means I'll find them as soon as my ebay order ships.

@smitty-81 did you get both? The only one I never found in store was duplico but I have a feeling these are going to be more rare

@brasco yeah I got 2 of each from different sellers.

@smitty-81 ok I have a question then. Since they are pre orders, what happens if the seller tries to screw you? Can you still file a claim after the 30 days?

They are really gonna bungle this, aren’t they? Item’s featured in the segments will be on sale at the start, but the times are approximate. So they want you to watch the “show” but the item is put up at the start of show, but show could start early or later. Why not wait until its over to put up to order. Typical clusterfudge.

@depp76 Did they tweak his face? He looks less "Asian" than the prototype shown at SDCC - he looks more like the vintage face now. And hmmm, without the tornado effects he could have been released on a normal card. I'm not convinced those pieces were worth the deluxe packaging.

Naturally I'll buy him anyway because Mattel has me relentlessly bent over like the good little MOTU whore that I am...

@durendal as an action figure no, he doesn't need them, but I think as a collectible I think they'll make for good action displays and photography.
