As a fan of the character, I’d take her! The female vintage-style figures were so small, the Filmation buck is definitely an upgrade. But to non-Filmation fans, she’s probably not a priority.

As a fan of the character, I’d take her! The female vintage-style figures were so small, the Filmation buck is definitely an upgrade. But to non-Filmation fans, she’s probably not a priority.
As a non-Filmation fan, I can assure you that we aren't buying Cartoon Collection in the first place, so if you guys want to demand her in that line, it has no bearing on us. EVERRYTHING you guys could want is of no priority to us, so you guys have at it lol. Demand whoever you want.

Yeah... there are so many that I want, and the majority of them are must-haves according to me.
However, even if Mattel slimmed that long list down, I feel that a large chunk of PoP, Filmation only characters, and the aforementioned Sorceress certainly deserve a spot in the Cartoon Collection.
It would be a shame if guys like Dragoon, Negator, Marzo, Jarvis, Melaktha, Shokoti, Enchantress, Dree-Elle, Ileena, Lizard Man, etc. don't get made in a line that is literally labeled "CARTOON Collection!"

@evilwarrior Agreed. I strongly dislike most of 200X, so while I'm frustrated that Mattel is doing so much of it as part of the Cartoon Collection while Filmation gets sidelined, I do appreciate that they're giving anti-200Xers like myself a much needed break from collecting.
In my humble opinion, MOTUC was our only chance to get them released. With that opportunity long gone, I wouldn't hold my breath regarding these names. With all the buzz surrounding MOTU this year, and the fact that movie based characters are a part of the Origins line, I'm holding out hope.
After the movie figures get made, I'm hoping that the Cartoon Collection will continue on with some of the names above. (Along with the few holdouts from vintage and New Adventures, of course!!)

Yep... it's no secret that I do not like MYP MOTU.
However, I appreciate the 200X Cartoon Collection for two main reasons:
1.) The MYP fans deserve a cartoon accurate line of figures (not the awful humpback 4H renditions)
2.) It proves that the "Cartoon Collection" is not limited to Filmation and, thus, can include Jetlag / New Adventures at some point!!!

To be continued. What makes me highly doubt the possibility of additional Filmation characters is, for instance, the focus on 200X at the last SDCC convention. And there were a lot! As far as I know, the 20th anniversary of the franchise had long passed, and the 25th anniversary was not exactly around the corner either. A concept like this (Cartoon Collection) could easily be used by Mattel to create a giant umbrella covering all these media, while also making it so diversified every time. From Filmation and 200X to NA/Jetlag and Revelation/Revolution. Subsequent waves have ensued, yet the emphasis persists on the 200X media. Again, this is just my humble opinion, but there are potential red flags waving in front of us. To illustrate, would you be interested in ascertaining the precise moment at which the Masterverse "Princess of Power" subline officially ceased to exist? It was definitely when the 'New Etheria' subline emerged from nowhere. In summary, if I had to describe the manufacturer's current strategy: 'Short and optimally profitable'. By "short", I mean the most popular names related to Motu as a whole.In my humble opinion, MOTUC was our only chance to get them released. It seems like 200X Whiplash and a certain Expend-Or might be arriving soon. I have a feeling they could be tied to the two remaining slots available through Mattel Creations this month.

I don’t have a horse in this race, but I feel some of these could also happen in the Origins “Vintage” Line proper, just like they were made in the Classics line. If they are deemed to be part of the lore.
Until Club Grayskull, there wasn’t really a visual / formal distinction for Filmation based characters in Classics, no? And there is precedent for Origins re-doing Classics figures (Geldor, Demo-Man). According to Classics, they are part of the greater MOTU lore now.
Of course, since CC, they used exclusively the CC buck for this, even “reactivating” it for the royal couple. Which supports the case for more Filmation CC buck figures.
It’ll be interesting to see if any of those Filmation based characters like Shokoti will be brought into Origins, and in what form.
I would be happy for the Filmation fans, and would probably pick up some… depending on the character… Probably more likely if they are on the vintage buck.

200X Whiplash was rumored to be the next oversized “Deluxe” offering alongside the new CC 200X wave.
Still possible that they’ll offer him on Creations, too… like Core Roboto.

I’m happy he’s called Gray, and that we’re getting him, but here’s the difference between a kids line and an adult collector line:
It makes sense that he’s a bit boring, since it’s a secret identity. And it’s the Stone Age or whatevs.
But compare that to a Prince Adam in the vintage line. So much more interesting, of course he’s a Prince yada yada, but still:
In a regular toy line, designers and marketing would amp that stuff up, add some pizzazz, to make it an interesting release that grabs attention at the store.
Give this guy some color!
And whatever discrepancies in the lore, kids can make up for it with their imagination.
Adult collectors however, need to have their food chewed for them and heaven forbid any leaps of imagination.

But, I will get this happy fella, boring or not, he’s important, and at least he brings a few accessories. That Ghost backpack will surely make him stand out.

I have to believe in my heart of hearts that Teela and Evil-Lyn are coming to the Origins movie collection... however, since that hasn't happened yet, I decided to get a Core Teela figure. She is a perfect placeholder until an Origins version is announced and looks great next to Origins movie He-Man!
She stands almost the exact same height as CC Teela too!
Question: Do we know if movie Trap-Jaw will be sold in Walmart brick-n-mortar or only online?
