@sketchyskeletor That reminds me of the doubtful anecdote that almost cost me €10 in shipping fees related to the Origins Fright Zone. They had somehow forgotten about this when I first knocked on their door to claim a full refund. It was only three days later that I found this out, but they were quick to resolve this regrettable omission. To be fair, I should mention that two different people were approached in response to my single request. So, it could be said that some people are more invested in their own tasks than others actually are. 🤔

No no, Cretins have tried all sorts of scams with me in the past, even going as far as claiming they don't do returns until I pointed out that was illegal under basic consumer law and they now had a UK site... they're would-be scum, basically, but absolutely incompetent.

@sketchyskeletor Yes, we've seen this before: ultimately, only one Motu slot will be retained. Especially with such a proximity being noted between the said dates (two days).

Remember when they teased Octavia in cartoon collection. I need her badly and I'm worried we will never get her.

Sad Man-E-Faces

I don't think they'll just stop with the CC. Not with so many characters left. Its possible they'll shift the remaining CC figures to MC after the run out of nonvintage vintage characters to make up. With that we could see a MOTU figure every month.

  1. Vintage
  2. Powers of Grayskull
  3. Cartoon
  4. Masterverse
  5. Vintage
  6. Powers of Grayskull
  7. Cartoon
  8. Masterverse
  9. Vintage
  10. Powers of Grayskull
  11. Cartoon
  12. Masterverse

And that would fit in with the three a year for VC figures, we've been getting the last two years.

I hope you are right. There are so many great characters left to make it would be depressing if it ended with so many characters left on the table. I also badly want a Cartoon Collection Castle Grayskull. Don't you think it would sell well? I do!

Comparing the facial cartoon likeness of the upcoming Masters of the Universe: Origins "Cartoon Collection" RAM MAN (200X) Figure to the 2002 cartoon series "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe".

@admin In terms of design, Mattel has really knocked it out of the park this time. I was on the verge of acquiring a few of them, an idea that I had given a great deal of consideration to. For a collector who focuses strictly on the Masterverse, this is a disturbing occurrence.

@samuel It would be nice to see some more if CC. Though I think there’ll always be some omissions, unless they keep at it for several more years. We may only see the sporadic Creations release, though I’d welcome that.

As for a CC Castle Grayskull, seeing that they just did a repaint of the first castle, I doubt it’ll happen… a third Grayskull?

Though, I see people do plan to buy the grey repaint, so who knows, … I guess it’s not a bad idea to always have *some* version of CG available.

It would need to be a crowdfund to do it justice, God save us...  the Filmation version is almost like a fossilised creature, and probably as wide as it is tall. Ideally it would have at least a faux riser too.

The inside, well, it'd be very difficult to homage the cartoon amd still be fun. Even Sorceress' chair.

Here is the Origins Vintage Checklist maybe 70% populated. Working to finish this checklist by the end of the week. (Sorry this took forever @lurker-man !)

All good things comes to he who waits 😜

Awesome job! 🙂

In my overeagerness I did checked two figures I (think) do not have though and cannot find an un-check button! 😫

...to he who waits and waits and waits! 😄

Thanks buddy. Let me know which figure so I can remove for you. (Something I hope in the future to figure out a way for anyone to deduct manually).

Thanks! (and sorry)

Origins Mer-Man
Origins Evil-Lyn
Origins Randor (200X)

Kinda mixed them up with their counterparts & variants.

Edit: In case of Randor there might be a bug. I was very sure I picked the first one; in the overview I only see the 200x one I don't have and in the selector both are shown as already selected.

Actually, this version has some precedent over the vintage look for me. I mean, I loved it when the intro to the Filmation cartoon would play again with He-Man holding his sword in the air, and then suddenly this rocky monster would appear behind him, ready to swallow him up. It always fascinated the little boy I was. Consequently, I immediately grabbed the first replica available on the market a few years ago (an Icon Heroes business card holder). It's pretty small, but you get the essence of this pictorial moment.

I love both it and the toy, and I'd love to have any version of it, but I just think in production terms it's a nightmare. There's a good chance I'm gonna customise an Origins Grayskull into one as much as my skills will allow and maybe use clay and foam for the surround.

Cartoon Collection Bow is Processing soon at BBTS. Tariff surcharge of 50 cents. I’ll survive I guess, and know who I have to thank for it

And shadow weaver from same wave is $1.50.  Then whiplash is 50 cents. How is it different? They’re just throwing numbers out.

Then the wave 2 of the thundercats are coming in stock with no tariffs.

I think the Thundercats are the stages of hair prep Donald goes through in the morning.

So BigBadToyStore is currently having a big Labor Day sale. Planning to get x2 Horde Troopers to have 4 in total, adding them to my Pile of Loot (waiting for my pre-ordered Transformers SS86 Constructicons to ship). Thinking about getting one more Origins figure or two and I would like some honest recommendations from what they have that's currently $20 or under.

They have TOG April, Beast Man and Ram Man on sale. Heard Ram Man ain't that good but if you had to choose one which would it be?

(Toy) Mantenna and Kobra Khan, those good figures?

As for CC, Teela, Trap Jaw, Mantenna and Leech have my current interest.

I would at least like some good, quick honest opinions on these figures.

Done and thanks for letting me know about the bug! King Randor is fixed and people who have the 200X King Randor will have to re-add him. I just added some more figures and will keep adding, so if new bugs arise please let me know and I'll get right on them!  🙂

@slycooperastroboy51 out of all the ones you listed ToG Beastman is the weakest. ToG Ram-Man is good, and so is April. VC (toy) Mantenna and Kobra Khan are also really good. I'm not really felling any of the CC figures.

@smitty-81 Which 2024 CC figures would you say are good and still hold up a year later?

I know it, like the main Origins, DEFINITELY had it's "first wave woes", specifically with He-Man and Skeletor (also I wouldn't say Evil-lyn looks the best. Her skin tone just doesn't look right.). Not just MOTU but I'm sure many other collector toylines have this trial and error thing on the manufacturer’s part.

I do have Man-at-Arms, Stratos and Mer Man and I would say they're good.

Yeah like everyone I'm using the recent Faker ironically as my superior CC He-Man stand-in, though I think I should maybe get another.

I don't think I'd pick any of the 24 CC figures over their VC counterparts. Maybe Mer-Man and Spikor. CC She-Ra nd CC Orko are big improvements but I think they are both 2025 figures.

Personally I've found that the best figures come from mixing and matching. Just look at my Man-at-
Arms...

@smitty-81 nice

Also Mattel I'm assuming really did people dirty by releasing that cartoon (mainly with the hairstyle) Teela variant in the vintage toy style and then literally a year later they come out with an actual cartoon accurate Teela
