They are presenting the 200X brand as the 'spiritual successor' to the cartoon series. I wonder if they intend to abandon the previous one once and for all? It would be such a shame, as there are still a few names that could make great figures: Shokoti, Strong-Arm, Negator and Marzo, to name a few! The sculpt/overall rendition of the MYP roster is jaw-dropping! I'm jealous of you guys who are collecting these figures. Sting-Or is so tempting! As for the castle, I'll reiterate my scepticism about the fact that the mould doesn't change. Mark Taylor's design made it look much more aged.

That's my assessment also. I know where they are coming from with this, but re-using the old CG mould just doesn't work. And the paint looks like cheap graffiti the way it is done; I don't believe this will display well tbh.

@disneyboy I'm not saying that the nail has been put in the coffin for the rest of the Great Rebellion, but it certainly doesn't bode well for the near future. If the ratio of figures produced was so low for the forty-year anniversary, imagine what might happen during less significant periods.

@onlyoneskeletor and @disneyboy there's one window that was blacked out from Pixel Dan's video and there's still CC and Thundercats that have yet to be shown, and a panel on Friday.

Mattel has a dozen key She-Ra characters left to make in the CC line, and double that if they cared to complete the vintage POP line.

This is her 40th.

They show nothing on Preview night?

Yes, and that seems to be a young Duncan fighting Sting-Or. 

It’s funny, the way these con presentations are, we’re always living one year ahead.

Even though the PoP anniversary is this year, it almost feels the “celebration” was at last year’s Con. Last year was the unveiling of the first ever Filmation PoP Origins, incl She-Ra, and having Melendy Britt there. 

At this year’s Con, their minds are already on Spring 2026…

…and She-Ra’s anniversary seems already in the past. (Though we did just have a Barbie, which I got lololol 😂).

Well, there are still a couple presentations / panels I think? The Con has only started. 🤞 

@cosmic that's just how the toy industry works. There's a panel on Friday and whatever they have hidden will be revealed. I'm hoping to see waves 3 and 4 of Thundercats and at least one more full wave of "PoP" CC.

I feel it would be unwise for me to hold my breath.

For real - a Swift Wind figure reveal would be easy publicity for Mattel to put out there at the start of the con to keep interest in She-Ra's 40th and generate excitement....

....but that would mean Mattel would have to be excited.

This year was a quite pleasant surprise. 

The 200x refresh is way more aesthetically pleasing than what they've been doing the last two years. 

Finally getting Dragstor and this new scorpion dude is the first Axel creation is think I've truly liked.

And even Masterverse has me excited for the first time ever. That Mantenna honestly kinda blows both Origins ones out of the water in the looks department 

Granted, it's not PERFECT, I could rhyme off a dozen things I could've asked for, but considering I was primed for disappointment , I'll take it

@samuel We should find this out very soon. However, as we know, retailers quickly become nostalgic for a small selection of names that they love to resurrect every eighteen months or so.

Yes!!!  We still need Kobra Khan, Moss Man, Mekaneck, SyKlone, Zodac, Horde Trooper, Multibot, and more!!!

I REALLY hope they aren’t done with Filmation!!

AND a Filmation Battlecat and Grayskull would be graaaavy. 

@grayskullguardsman okay let me argue do we really need a CC figure for EVERYONE? You know they ain’t gonna do that. That doesn’t mean any of the characters you mention shouldn’t be made, I think most of them you mention should be made

but do we need a CC Battle Cat and Horde Trooper? Because I would argue those are two characters that honestly look just about identical in the original toys and the Filmation toons, though the toys moreso the Origins ones they have now and even if there are slight detail differences is it really worth it for Mattel to make whole new molds specifically because of those tiny details rather than maybe I dunno, slight repaint variants with those details in CC packaging?

they should rather dedicate that time and money elsewhere to new characters who haven’t had an Origins figure yet.

I just want Filmation figures that we didn’t get from the Classics Filmation line. 

Battlecat is quite similar, but I’d still love one. 

Don't get me wrong the new 200x figures look great, but...

I'd be buying all the exact same characters AGAIN alongside Masterverse 

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if they're more expensive, they look it in Mattel terms

I am sick to the back fucking teeth of Mattel not even finishing factions much less sublines 

I ordered the castle but only because I have a remarkably specific plan for it. Sting-or and Dragstor look great but they really need more vintage and CC being shown tomorrow. People clearly aren't happy.
