@sketchyskeletor I think I know what you mean, but I think it was a bit misunderstood… it was all part of a bunch of announcements of what they’re planning
It sounded like there was an animated prequel series, and everyone got excited, but then reading more closely, it sounds more like… social media posts with character spotlights. That could be a bit animated.
On the other hand, there *was* mention that they will try another kids toy line, but no mention of a cartoon alongside with it.
Edit–
Ah here is the corrected news: (Link)
And link to the original news post:
https://he-mania.com/2025/09/new-masters-of-the-universe-movie-prequel-animated-series-is-coming-in-2026-figures-playsets-books-are-coming-too/
I think this was a mix of misunderstanding, wrong wording by the PR folks, and us jumping the gun. Unfortunately.
We definitely will get books and comics, online stuff,… etc Maybe short animations? (And toys, toys toys).
There was also mention of MOTU:R writer Tim Sheridan working on something secret, probably comics, (totally separate news.)
@admin I just thought, I guess he could have been *Anti-New Eternia He-Man* heh
@admin we are missing Mattel Creations New Eternia Moss Man, do not forget the big guy :)...VC Man At Arms too
Wow, how was Moss Man omitted? Thanks for keeping me accurate Yen!
I noticed Vintage Collection Man-At-Arms landed in some collectors' hands recently so I will add him (and VC Teela as well). Thanks!
We have the Power!
Have you guys noticed you can take off part of Mantenna’s face?
That should make it a liiittle easier to take out his eyes, though I find it frustrating the designers have not included a better mechanism to take them out.
Mantenna looks amazing and is a great size (MV PoP Leech and Grizzlor looks small in comparison), but some of the engineering is lacking… Putting the gun into his hand is also bit of a pain.
He’s still amazing. That head design is just spectacular! And that “reflector” part on his chest armor– genius!
@cosmic Popping out the eye is indeed a little delicate, but wow, this figure is amazing! Could he be my favourite of the Evil Horde? I felt the same way when the MOTUC arrived home. Celebration time! He's attacking Thunderpunch He-Man, who counterattacks by blasting his face, causing one of his eyes to pop out. The blast continues to the second Horde member, Mosquitor, who goes for the Battle Ram to destroy that vehicle and suck the palace guard attached to it to death. Meanwhile, (Deluxe Revelation) Man-At-Arms is crushing a few Horde Troopers under its wheels.
@onlyoneskeletor The crazy thing is that both the Masterverse Mantenna and the CC Origins Mantenna are fantastic figures.
Mattel really made up for that misstep back in '85...

Masterverse Extendar coming? I sure hope so!
I hope Dragstor's head can look straight up like in the artwork. He needs that feature otherwise the entire figure will be a huge fail.
amazing, so they will come out soon I suppose...it was about time they hint Extendar, one of my favorite figures...
@admin Masterverse Vintage Evil-Lyn
Evil-Lyn Masterverse Vintage Collection Confirmed - Toy Habits https://share.google/K7Hu0NoGrJNTL15pT
I'm still waiting for some more interesting characters to be announced for the Vintage Collection like Scare Glow, Buzz-Off, Webstor, Two Bad, Clawful, Stinkor & Spikor. Spikor is my favorite character & I didn't really like the lack of spikes on the Revelation version. I need a version closer to the original/Origins.
Hasbro is reissuing a ton of older Transformers. They are talking about a new Predaking as they just reissued the Titan Predaking from a few years ago. And the Transformers collectors are actually complaining about too many reissues.
Isn't there some way we could get Mattel to reissue some of these Masterverse figures that are impossible to get now?

Webstor being number one on the reissue list...Battle Armor Skeletor...etc

Part of the issue with Transformers is they're releasing things like Predaking that most people either already have or know already that a ground-up remodel is coming too! Then you've got the Trypticon repaint that's shelf warming because it should have come out years ago when people had the space and the wonky grey one...nobody would mind if it was genuinely desired stuff like you're getting at (New Adventures He-Man for this particular customer!)
Here's a cool throne for your Masterverse. If you can afford it. I sure can't. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/345807

Maybe they'll get those into the Vintage Collection soon?
Regarding the MV Vintage Collection, I’m getting the impression that they are going by the order how stuff was released in the vintage toy line in the 80s.
Like, it was at first just the original 8, adding Faker, now Evil-Lyn,… but these are very early Masters characters.
If they continue this way, we won’t see Scare Glow anytime soon,… but then, he is such an easy repaint, and popular, so maybe they’ll bring him sooner.
I’m not sure which wave Webstor was way back in the original line,… but I think that characters such as Trap Jaw would come first, and Tri-Klops, stuff like Fisto and Buzz-Off and Whiplash,… IF we continue the way we have started. 🤷
Yo. So I'm new to this topic. I've been collecting Origins figures and a LOT of them and I mean a LOT. Since April.
I've see Origins as the "Fun collector figures" with the retro scale, 80s figures and vehicles with updated modern toy engineering, all the fun crossovers, Cartoon Collection, etc. while I've seen Masterverse as the "Collector collector" figures akin to Star Wars Black Series, DC Multiverse and Marvel Legends. Not to diss it in any way but I've been more of an Origins guy.
BUT BigBadToyStore always has these figures on sale, especially right now with Black Friday coming up, so I'm thinking "Sure, why not? I'll get some."
The only figure I'm deadset on getting is Princess of Power Hordak because he just looks like the best Hordak figure on the market.
But I came to this forum/topic with recommendations. I would like to hear which Masterverse figure of He-Man, Skeletor, Duncan, Teela, Evil-lyn, etc. are the best of the main characters? Or really any Masterverse figure recommendation in general.

Just my opinion (which is usually the unpopular opinon):
The greatest figure in the line for me = Mantenna.
1. The best He-Man IMO will always be Battle Armor. You can get a really good BA He-Man for $12 on BBTS. This is my favorite He-Man but he doesn't have the classic looking face. I prefer the more mature bearded look.
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/203957
For the best classic He-Man go with the 40th Anniversary https://www.ebay.com/itm/227082028492?_skw=40th+anniversary+he-man&epid=15056099421&itmmeta=01KA8A3EEYRFX17VFSJXJHM85T&hash=item34df24c5cc:g:X54AAeSwoA9pGg4o&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA8FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1folcyLIJ3gvizNbFxktWLQx%2BFV4bqaZ%2FAljZfDNPUoMefvzkvJ1ODIdqeh%2FSYT3qGTn4zM8SK5QdSCpD89rYH6INYwV2ef0AkMVEQ0ZRV1DJT9iMqS4v854IykQjBNK5qrhzDaiFFp%2FRFYpGEuuc2M%2FvuVZ9l6cO6g%2FNgXq8pgPY%2BJBog57oyFcYfzbyB3Dy3wfmWls3yaalEALEomJkUxp8fxh4eHkQgj0mQJLIMchU79%2F89xGUHDvaxqqXkK75wHC1tuGqxX2QeiNatrA3Kb1bTn9njUh7coO7XtwyF1Jw%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9DnjYrSZg
2. The best Evil-Lyn is easily the New Eternia version. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/291267
3. For Teela, go for the upcoming Vintage Collection.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/MOTU-MVSE-VINTAGE-TEELA/17759270393?classType=REGULAR&athbdg=L1600&from=/search
4. Man-At-Arms depends on your preference, mustache or no mustache. I prefer the upcoming Vintage Collection with the brighter green & no mustache like the original figure. https://www.walmart.com/ip/MOTU-MVSE-MAN-AT-ARM/16013114084
But if you like the mustache then I'd say go for the New Eternia version
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/253815
5. For Skeletor, Battle Armor Skeletor is my favorite but you can't get him anymore. The next best is the Vintage Collection Masters of the Universe Masterverse Vintage Collection Skeletor MOTU Action Figure with Sword - Walmart.com
6. The best Mer-Man is the New Eternia version but he's sold out everywhere so your best bet is the upcoming Vintage Collection https://www.walmart.com/ip/MOTU-MVSE-VINTAGE-MER-MAN/17722569931?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wmlspartner=wlpa&cn=FY25-ENTP-PMAX_cnv_dps_dsn_dis_ad_entp_e_n&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=2222222229717722569931_0000000000_21407473164&wl0=&wl1=x&wl2=c&wl3=&wl4=&wl5=9013312&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=17722569931&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21690411341&gbraid=0AAAAADmfBIrkZWPd_EmwMVGDN5KajabaO&gclid=Cj0KCQiAiebIBhDmARIsAE8PGNK67NMGFrFjk1M66nuAfN-jnulR19ir2UcNFFwNvbd5rCU16F3EhW8aAnjOEALw_wcB
7. Best Beast-Man is either this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/394911714791?_skw=masterverse+beast+man&epid=22054782463&itmmeta=01KA8AMXJVRNNZFSCPXF9Z4WN2&hash=item5bf2928de7:g:ybgAAOSwWvNlGdwk&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA8FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1fYYCi4J3gw%2FEUuHzP8vG%2Bw4z3cTIoYaCMO%2FK58m3NkykSVb6RZoLq3ng7l%2F4hGvtZvpf9m8oZkwXVT4llbUROhd2s1MYSKKvaCKZRfbB9isxfyY5cc0qKVb9igvt4OV9IhO2pVgwhB5iIJpVFncZZMZD%2BXwxD2Hpas4L2gx%2B%2Bv8UaRO7L5PMm%2FF2wCkzvQoHgm5nlf4XeA%2BS7ZDVle22TzZbDr46TleukKnA6Nd6BgGvBGicdL%2BRvuXkwucwwalMq56ZaTriEtCN44h%2BI8bMRRqGgmZyycdEKOPl5qIlebNA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8zZ04rSZg
or New Eternia https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/296781
They're all really good. Two-Bad, Whiplash, New Eternia Tri-Klops & Trapjaw, Sy-Klone, Mekaneck, Frosta, Catra, too many awesome figures in this line. That's why I wish Mattel would end Origins & focus 100% on Masterverse.
@sci-fitsunami thanks for the recommendations but as an Origins collector, I don’t wanna start a debate, but like I said I see Masterverse as the “Collector Collector” figures and Origins as the “Fun Collector” figures with the amount of things it has going for it. That doesn’t mean you can’t collect both they both have their pros and cons.

I collect both but I still want Origins to end. Because Mattel isn't treating them evenly. Masterverse doesn't get crap while Origins is getting the cream of the crop. Masterverse doesn't get any vehicles or any cool new characters like Stingor, Vypor or Red Shadow. Masterverse only has 1 Snakeman compared to how many in Origins? I mainly want Origins gone because Mattel is giving it like 95% of the attention.
What they really need to do is release every character in Origins & Masterverse at the same exact time. When Stingor was released there should have been 2 versions at the same time to keep both lines perfectly even. They could easily repaint/retool Clawful into Stingor. Red Shadow is an easy Beast-Man retool. Crimson Countess or Lady Slither can easily be thrown together from Catra or Frosta. Kobra Khan = super easy Naga & Gorgon repaints. We now have a Masterverse Ninjor so where the hell is Slamurai? They already have 95% of the molds done. It's a no-brainer so WTF are they doing??? MOTU was always about repaints & parts swapping. So why aren't they doing it for Masterverse?
Thats all I'm saying, Origins is great if you care about nostalgia but WTF are they doing with Masterverse? So many easy & obvious retools/repaints & they're totally ignoring them all. I have to make customs of them all which takes up way too much time. And buying multiples of certain figures for custom fodder is getting way too expensive.
