Last week we reported that a large portion of the voice cast for the largely anticipated, twice delayed “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction” video game had participated in a joint reveal to promote the game’s eventual arrival next year.

While a great deal of the cast was revealed, one of the credits notably absent was the voice of Skeletor…

…but that mystery was solved when voice actor Joshua Story revealed on social media (coinciding with the 43rd anniversary of the UK Premiere date of the “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” Filmation cartoon) that he was portraying Skeletor and the voice of Trap Jaw in the game.

What also was revealed should be a nostalgic treat for fans of the classic Filmation cartoon series: It appears, based on his Skeletor voice presented on his social media posts, voice actor Joshua Story will be emulating the iconic legend himself… the classic Skeletor voice created by the man, the myth, the legend… Alan Oppenheimer!

More and more, this video game is turning out to be quite a salute to Filmation He-Man (and we love it.)

“He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction” is due out early 2027.
We’ll see you next time!
