A fitness coach from Kent County in England scored a role of a lifetime!

Announced just this morning, online fitness coach Alex ‘Davo’ Davison is the man behind the mask, playing Komodo in what is being described as a “half-dragon, half-lizard character, in the new He-Man movie.”

Reported by Kent Online, here is what Davison had to say:
Regarding his costume:
“It was very heavy. I had two make-up girls and two costume girls with me the whole time to help me on and off with the head. I felt like a celebrity!
“I was utilised quite a lot. And they also filmed each scene several times from different angles – so I was in costume a long time.”
“There were a lot of beautiful people. That’s what the He-Man world is all about, beautiful people, while the Skeletor universe is all darkness and monsters.”
How he landed the role:
“I’m quite big and stocky. I think that’s what they needed for the role. I had signed up to an agency, and one day I was asked to attend Sky Studios for a semi-audition. I actually thought it was for a Star Wars movie.
“They asked me to try on a costume – although actually it was not even the costume used in the movie – and walk around a bit. Then a little after I was told, yeah, you’ve got the part!”
On his family’s reaction to being in the “Masters of the Universe” Movie:
“- blown away by my being in the movie – I even feature in the trailer!”.
Once the film is reased, Davison plans to share photos from the set.

We’ll see you next time!

This sounds like alot of fun to be a part of
So does that mean he is a new character?
@anneela He still could be Lizard Man’s real name. Lizard Man has always been overused and uninspired.
COOL!
He’s a lucky guy. Being bald was probably a plus.
