Official Covers and Synopsis for Masters of the Universe ”THE SWORD OF FLAWS” Comic Issue #2 are revealed (featuring PROCRUSTUS!)

The first issue for Dark Horse Comics and Mattel’s new Masters of the Universe new comic series titled “The Sword of Flaws” has yet to arrive in comic book stores yet, but we already have the exciting covers and synopsis for issue #2 to show you!

Starting with the cover artwork, issue #2 will have two covers to choose from, the main and one variant. Check out both covers below, with the main featuring legendary MOTU character Procrustus, the Eternian God!

Now for the official synopsis! Warning: *Minor Spoilers Ahead*

“An ancient artifact has been unearthed from the highest peaks of Eternia. Teela assembles an expedition to investigate, while He-Man and Orko seek answers from the Sorceress. Meanwhile, Evil-Lyn, Skeletor, and his henchmen embark on their own journey to the violet mystery. But the artifact is not the only relic returned from the past, as heroes and villains alike face off against dangerous Preternian powers.”

Written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Freddie E. Williams II, this sophomore issue will debut everywhere on November 5th.

But it all excitingly begins when this four issue limited “The Sword of Flaws” series debuts with Issue #1, hitting comic book shelves and digital platforms everywhere this September 24th, 2025!

  1. I long for more ‘post-script’ comics again, where it’s not just the same status quo all the time. More than had my fill of it now. Let’s have more like the set-up of Revolution where Adam’s living with Teela as Grayskull’s guardian and her as the Sorceres, or, alternativly, more of them as king and queen of Eternia. This endless encasement in amber is as stagnant as modern Spider-Man comics.
