He-Man’s reign as the #1 Worldwide Streaming Movie on Amazon Prime Video may have been short lived.
For the past two days, the big budget “Masters of the Universe” Movie has lost the battle for supremacy to “The Devil’s Mouth“, a survival horror film that was produced on a reportedly low budget of $3.5 to $10 million and released directly to Prime Video streaming on July 29, 2026.

Finishing an 8 Day Streak at the #1 spot on the worldwide rankings for movies on Amazon Prime (that ended on July 30th per the analytics of FlixPatrol), He-Man losing the top spot to such a weak competitor in categories like budget, awareness, merchandise and advertising (that already didn’t attract a great deal of public interest theatrically) is not great news at all for potential future installments for our favorite muscled hero.

Will “Masters of the Universe” lose the #1 spot in its second week of streaming to “The Devil’s Mouth” when Amazon releases their official rankings next week? We’re not sure. Both movies are in a tighter race than MOTU and “Project Hail Mary” was the week prior (and He-Man has the advantage of being the top film Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.)
We’ll continue to track this data as the weekend progresses and keep the community updated.
We’ll see you next time.

As long as the film is still in the top ten near the top I am not worried though I wish it got this kind of reception when it was in cinemas
Longevity is the key. It needs to be like a Top 5 watched Amazon film of the year for a realistic shot at a sequel.
