LISTEN UP! He-Man Remains #1 WORLDWIDE overall as “Masters of the Universe” Tops Prime Video Movie Charts Worldwide for a Fourth Day (while the 1987 Movie rides the excitement to #9!)
Masters of the Universe” continues to have “glorious muscle” as it tops Amazon Prime Video for a fourth day in a row.
After the film’s worldwide exclusive debut on Amazon this past Wednesday, according to the analytics of Flix Patrol, here is how the Top 10 movies rank overall in the world:

What perhaps is equally exciting is the surprising turn of events regarding the 1987 “Masters of the Universe” Movie. That classic film starring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella has entered the Top 10 at #9, clearly riding the wave of excitement for the new movie!
How long will it last? We’ll continue to track this as the weekend progresses.

💪 I’m just waiting for them to announce a She-Ra spinoff, and a second He-Man movie with Adam meeting Adora, and then they also mention how Keldor was killed by Skeletor years ago. She-Ra, and He-Man fight Hordak, with them bringing back Skeletor to help them defeat Hordak. But then Skeletor betrays them, and pulls a Darth Vader by saying “Adam, I am your uncle" then a third movie with the snakemen, and a fourth with Primus.
This is all good news.
Although I wish that more of these viewers showed up to support MOTU in the theater, I am glad that they are now proving there is a market for He-Man and his world in live-action.
My fingers are crossed that this keeps up and gives any new MOTU projects the greenlight to go!
@ornclown I have watched this 4 times on Prime now and left it on once for my cat when I went out. She was into it the third time I watched it. I did get to see it in the theater and was bummed I couldn’t see it more. I do wish the run wasn’t short in cinemas. It was also a word of mouth kind of flick for me. Us Hardcore life long fans of Filmation made the trek. Those that wanted the more barbarian He-Man didn’t get what they wanted so didn’t go. The light fans had to see it on their home screen.
I hope Amazon MGM goes all in and buys all the rights for the media or Mattel does. This way they can make sure She-Ra happens. I get goose bumps every time I hear those notes of her theme.
@thedoctor I’m pretty sure the She-Ra project will still happen. It was revealed a couple years ago and a lot of work has been happening behind the scenes during that time.
Whether the MOTU ’26 movie required She-Ra to pivot in some way (release window, world building, actors, narrative, etc.) is unknown.
However, She-Ra is a solid property with a lot of potential, and I believe Amazon recognizes that fact.
@ornclown I got goose bumps when I heard her music notes.. I really hope they keep the actress too. I just listed to the cast AJ did with her and she has passion.
@durendal I’ve watched a few of her weapons play videos she’s not bad. I get it though and we will get a proper actress as Travis has stated. I really hope she’s not studio picked.
Understand that when a franchise has a passionate niche audience, almost every fan in that audience will flock to see it. It’s the reason it’s at #1 right now. Sadly, because it’s a niche audience, it fades pretty quickly. 🙁

@durendal I know I heard the cast. Still was hoping maybe she could at least try out to keep it. I hope who we get blows us away.
@thedoctor She’s just a model. I’d like a proper actress to do her justice. 10 years ago Margot Robbie would have been perfect, but now she’s too old.
