Written by Limited Run Games, the distributor of the anticipated game “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction“….
…sent out a mass e-mail this past week to its customers discussing their widespread delays for their physical releases of games, that has left a bitter taste in the mouths of customers. Apparently, customers are still waiting for physical product that they pre-ordered and was promised a long time ago, with no delivery date in sight.
In this e-mail, Limited Run Games did take some responsibility, admitting that some of their delivery dates were “too aggressive” and “overly optimistic” which ultimately disappointed their customer base with (at this point) unfulfilled promises. Check out what LRG had to say:
“As we continue this transition of growth and transparency here at LRG, our new leadership has taken a hard look at our in-progress releases, and it’s clear: We’ve set some delivery dates that were too aggressive. We were overly optimistic, and we’ve disappointed you in the form of delays and uncertainty. We’re resetting that standard. Going forward, the date is the date, and it’s a date you should be able to believe when placing an order with us.”
This all ultimately begs the question: Will this affect the physical release of “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction“… and at this point… will a physical pre-order be announced at all?
If you recall, it was reported here that a physical release pre-order was supposed to be announced:
...all-new original title is set to launch in 2026, with physical pre-orders and digital release also coming early 2026
But now, in light of everything we learned, can we trust a physical pre-order will be announced soon considering the game will be out in a couple weeks? Only time will tell.
The digital version of this new He-Man game will be available on April 28th…. at least we hope so.

Gotta be honest, I’ve been getting a little worried for a few weeks now on the physical copies on 4/28 as you can’t find any info on it period. I share my son’s Switch and we have yet to get into the streaming side, I want a physical copy regardless that it’s He-Man (but that makes me want the physical copy more). Hopefully we’ll hear some good news soon!
I’m starting to wonder if the game will actually be released on time. Am I mistaken, or is there still no price listed for the game? I use an Xbox, and it isn’t listed there at all.
There hasn’t been any news or updates from the developer in a long time. This kind of thing makes me nervous.
I’m nervous too. If they are going too delay it at least add online coop.
You’d think Mattel would be breathing down their necks at this point given all the marketing hype they need to build across multimedia to peak in time for the movie’s release…
