F̶l̶a̶s̶h̶ He-Man! A-ah! The Saver of the Universe!
Legendary guitarist Brian May, best known from the iconic rock band Queen….

…just took to social media to announce that he is working with Composer Daniel Permberton, Director Travis Knight and more on the new “Masters of the Universe” Movie Soundtrack! Wow!
Check it out:
"I have the POWER !!!! Great joy to work tonight on scrumptious brand new HE-MAN movie with (L-R) Director Travis Knight, Composer Daniel Pemberton, and chief sound man Sam Okell - pictured here with our family's (actually Jimmy's) vintage He-Man action figure collection from ... oooh, about 1986, I #guess. What fun ! And this movie will make a lot of people smile a lot !!! And - yes - my ol' Red Special is all over it !!! Watch out !!!"

Responsible for one of the most famous soundtracks of all time, “Flash Gordon“….
… expects some amazing guitar riffs in “Masters of the Universe”!
Thanks to the always amazing @dgsimo for the ‘heads up’!
We’ll see you next time!

The movie music is going to be amazing!!!!!!
TRUST IN TRAVIS!
@bonezone With this decision, I’m starting to.
They were using Queen songs in the test screenings including their iconic Highlander theme song, “Princes of the Universe", which is aptly titled and was used in the climactic duel between He-Man and Skeletor.
Sir Brian May’s involvement tells me they wanna keep these tracks and possibly rearrange or orchestrate them into the score. Similar to the recent Deadpool and Wolverine with Madonna’s music.
His guitar sound is so unique.
We know now the music is gonna be good
Am I the only one wanting a more traditional score?
@longtooth If it’s done in hybrid form, it has potential to be amazing. Imagine a grand orchestral score liberally using the iconic Filmation theme and May’s instantly distinctive guitar riffs peppered throughout? It could be legendary if handled correctly…
A peppering may work in the short term, but it won’t be timeless. Not like a symphony.
“Who" was the question, but I was expecting that type of collaborative recourse.
I’m hooked now!
