Zodak & Evil-Lyn & Moss Man, oh my!
Hot on the heals of the Wave One pre-order launch consisting of He-Man, Stratos, Tri-Klops and a Deluxe Beast Man….

…a plethora of promotional images for later waves of Masters of the Universe: Origins “Cartoon Collection” (200X) Figures have been released. Check them out:

No release dates are available as of yet. Thanks to @cosmic for the ‘heads up‘ and Mike from ToyHabits.com for many of the images!
We’ll see you next time!

That Evil-Lyn looks incredible. I will be picking up her at least.
Evil-Lyn, Skeletor and Zodak win hands down. Moss Man certainly looks hairy. Moss-like? Not at all! I’m trying hard to identify something vaguely plant- or wood-related, but… As for Adam, I preferred the paint master face.
I also like Evil Lyn and Zodak… maybe Moss Man (as originally a repaint of Bast Man, I don’t mind him looking hairy), but I find the greens on him a bit strange… also don’t love that green on MAA.
Evil Lyn has a bit too much color .., or saturation? But her design is amazing (they really pushing the Disney witch vibe with her face).
The rest is ok and it all works IMO. But I’m trying not to get sucked in, so perhaps Zodak and Evil Lyn will be it.
After all, there are no Mini Comics for additional incentive 😉
Damn. Not buying the line but I may buy that Zodak. He looks badass
I’m not buying them but they look phenomenal with the exception of Adam and Mossy’s headsculpts. Those look preliminary compared to the quality of the others.
Just realised Skeletor will be wave 3. That’s a choice. I understand they might not want normies just buying the leads then walking away but wave 3 doesn’t make any sense either! You’ll have Tri-Klops, Beastman, Evil-Lyn AND a He-Man variant before their master.
I can’t help wondering if 200x pretty much dies when the movie push happens. Because that was an insane amount of characters not only revealed all at once at SDCC but obviously at an advanced design stage. The movie and new cartoon stuff already has to be in production for next summer.
@sketchyskeletor I was talking about this on another topic and I strongly suspect that Mattel’s approach to 200X is intended to maximise its chances of survival. The argument is as follows: “There’s more than enough of this brand out there to justify continuing to collect it."
I would have said yes but the chances of them having the capacity to do that when gearing up for TWO major pushes are super slim. And they’ve never shown that many figures all at once for one subline. Promo shots for a third wave when nobody has the first in hand?
@sketchyskeletor Oh, you know, there’s a precedent for it. That precedent is called ‘Super7’ (lol).
And we know how that went 😕
Sigh, I swore no I won’t go this route. These images though have my wallet already hurting. It’s my bday month so I can get a few right.
