It appears the new upcoming "Masters of the Universe" Animated Series that was billed as a "prequel" was incorrect. Read on for details. Back on September 3rd, we broke the news that a new "Animated Prequel Series" was on the way, per Toy World Magazine and Mattel. Toy World Magazine partners with Mattel every year to produce a supplement to their magazine that brings their readers the latest news on Mattel's hottest brands (and this year "Masters of the Universe" was on the top of the list, thanks to the upcoming big-budget movie.) We have the Power!
I don't personally mind y'all. What I mind is no sequel to Revolution. That burns my britches.😆
Yeah I mean all of this is a bit early still, too early to celebrate, when they are “planning” to do stuff… various stuff may not happen or change.
Unfortunately, the Character Shorts could be akin to social media posts with character bios, or like little “commercials” for different t characters. It may not be very exciting at all, comparatively.
Of course it’s fun to have anything MOTU related on any screen, but it may not be a cartoon series.
Maybe that will come after the movie, if it has some success, to keep the ball rolling…
Animated series are a LOT of effort, and a lot of $$.
@asterstar It's a similar analysis to what @cosmic just resumed. It may be drastically different from what we expected: a classic cartoon series, which it doesn't seem to end up being. What a bummer for me.
Bit of a bummer but I assumed if it was a prequel series it was going to be a limited mini series at that anyway.
We should know more and for certain at BLE regardless.
All I want is a good movie. None of this other stuff matters to me if it's bad. It's just fluff.
