30 to 40 for no deleted scenes and no digital copy is too much. I may wait for a sale.
Are they doing the same as toy companies – release a first not-so-great version, for excited fans to purchase, and then down the line release a better one, so that they can sell it basically twice?
While not impossible I fear its more a case of "After this box office we don't give a f anymore and only kept it to the bare minimum" 🙁
This is an odd decision given the fact that Knight has stated there is a lot of edited content and scrapped scenes.
When a movie like this is made nowadays, there is always a plethora of content being filmed on-set, off-set, through interviews, out takes, impressions, magazine writers, authors, social-media, personal devices, etc., etc.
There has to be an extended, deluxe release coming at some point.... I hope.

Seems like an unwise decision. I hope it wasn't driven by greed because they are going to release some ultimate version later on.

Unless they're actually planning a Deluxe Edition (but haven't announced it yet), this seems like a bad idea.

Yeah, I want to support them and I like owning physical media anyway, but if I can basically get everything they're offering on Amazon Prime by streaming it I'm not spending over $30 just for them to turn around and offer a deluxe edition later down the road. A virtual bare bones release should be sub-$20.
