We have the Power!
One of the best episodes of the series. This episode has two of my core memories as a child: The heroes chained up outside of Snake Mountain, and Trap-Jaw calling Skeletor fat, haha.
It's interesting now that we've had Revalation to see how big a role in this episode had in carrying some of their threads, either only appearing here (Marlena knows Adam's secret) or primarily appearing here (she can still fly her ship, lead into battle, etc..)
Although they pull it off beautifully and hilariously in this episode, I think this is really where it becomes the start of a whole lot of Beastman and Trap-Jaw teamups, and they start getting portrayed as so incompetent you wonder why Skeletor would even keep them around (at least until Spikor comes in).
Agree with a lot of people when I say it's one of the best.
Is Skeletor's count of number of attempted Grayskull takeovers up until this point accurate?
Also I'm sorry but........67.............................how do you do fellow kids? I'm sorry
Ya gotta appreciate that in an action cartoon of this time, they really could've just made Marlena "The hero protagonist's mom" who just exists (if even in the show at all and they don't use death to easily brush off and excuse absence), is useless, there to fill out the background and has as much character depth as cardboard but they didn't and that's really commendable.
that being said you gotta question how a ship that has just been on display and not been used for 21+ years works as good as it did back then seemingly so quickly?
Love that little moment near the end where He-Man is so surprised that Marlena is the pilot that he almost calls her mom in front of everybody.
Also Teela always being pissed of Adam running off when He-Man comes but then in this due to certain circumstances when he's freed she's just like "Go find He-Man!". Find that funny.
This could be my new #1 episode. It's always been up there but watching it again made me realize how excellent it is and I have to say the action scene at the end is the best part. What was I watching? He-Man or Top Gun? It was cool as hell and probably the best this show gets when it comes to action.
@slycooperastroboy51 Because Man-At-Arms restored the ship and probably added some special Eternian upgrades.
I have always been impressed with the scene where Marlena is next to her spaceship and thinks back on her younger life. We hear her doing a countdown and see a blend of past and present. It's really splendid.

@battlecat327 I wish Revelation was a real sequel to this show like the X-Men cartoon was.
This episode is the best. No complaints. The writing and story is beautiful. The action is exciting. This episode is perfect! 10/10
4 stars. Skeletor is on fire and at his hilarious best but unfortunately at the expense of trapjaw and beastman who become utter boobs. Stands out after the last episode.
Otherwise very well written episode.
