One of the best of the series, not really much to say outside of I agree with your assessment - this one would have bored me to a degree as a kid (even though I'm sure I saw it at least a couple of times), but I love how it emphasizes so many of the strong relationships of the Series, giving them emotion far above and beyond what you would expect from an 80's cartoon: Adam/Teela, Adam/Cringer, Sorceress/Teela, Teela/Man-at-Arms.

This time I had to comment because it was great. I forgot about all the characterization. To be frank, I'm surprised this script was approved considering how talky it was. I also like how it started in a fight with Beast Man. That was an excellent way to begin.

It's not a 10 out of 10. It's a 20 out of 10!

Perfectly said. This is one of those episodes you show if you are introducing someone to He-Man for the first time. It explains how each character fits together like perfect puzzle pieces.

This episode is really simple yet really good at the same time somehow. Shows good character relationships and a good moral which somehow can build a good episode on it's own without any real fight. I was  surprised they brought up Sorceress being Teela's mother, I thought that was just a one episode type thing they wouldn't mention again throughout the next 124 episodes.

"But we grew up together like brother and sister."

ouch

We luck out as we get one more where they directly talk about it in "Teela's Triumph" where Teela has to take over for the Sorceress (without being told why). I do wish we got a few more but it shows how impactful it was that anyone who grew up watching the show knows that Teela is her daughter.

Had to chime in and say that this episode is another one that sits in my top ten. Perfectly written and well executed all around.

4 stars. Great character development but needed more action to score a 5.
