We have the Power!
Wait. Stratos gets his flying powers from a golden egg? What is that jetpack on his back for then?
This is a good one. Not in my favorites but near it. I like how Stratos finally gets a spotlight episode when throughout this watch-a-thon, it felt like at the beginning he was gonna be as much of a recurring character as Ram Man but then for like idk 30 episodes it felt like the showrunners forgot about him.
I don't know if it was just to advertise his toy or the writers just really liked Whiplash or both. I ain't complaining, I like him.
Skel, Trap, Beast and Tri-Klops are all riding Sky Sleds together makes me think of them being a mischievous quartet biker gang 😆
Question: I feel like in some MOTU media, mainly 200x Stratos and Buzz-Off are supposed to be the leaders/princes of their respective races but they're rarely seen ever leading them or ruling their domain. I say 200x because they're almost always with the Masters as a unit. I mean here in the Filmation series, they only show up now and again, so it makes sense they're likely doing it offscreen but still.
As I am rewatching these, a small detail that rises to the surface for me is how when someone is in trouble or needs help, Adam doesn’t hesitate and immediately calls down the power, thus demonstrating that Adam is as much a hero as He-man.
4 stars. This is a great adventure but continuity wise is a disaster. Why is whiplash suddenly trapped in a demon zone? Why are the bird men not simian? At least Stratos finally gets some personality.
