We have the Power!
Merry Christmas Eve y'all. That being said this episode is alright.
I actually did watch this episode prior to the watch-a-thon not knowing the production order and assumed Sibyline was in a previous episode because it's one of those instances where they introduce a new character as if the characters already know them personally. I swear this show has done this more than three times at this point.
Gorgon sounds like Gollum very very high on bath salts.
I think it's an episode like this where you can really feel how much of a burden it is for this show, at least for now, only having one main voice actress. The late Linda Gary is usually great as all of the usual female characters, Teela, Evil-Lyn, Sorceresss, Marlena, all sound distinct, but Sibyline just has her doing a generic sweet woman voice we've heard many other times as other one-off characters.
Not her fault, but they really should've hired at least one other main voice actress in the first place. I know Erika Scheimer came in later in the show's run before She-Ra started on the air, but we're not there yet.
For no reason at all I like pointing out whenever for a moment is this show is more well animated than usual. In this case when He-Man busts a door down and cheekily smiles saying "Ladies first."
Bleh episode. What's with the staff with a blue hand attached to the end of it?
3 stars. Ok episode, would have worked better if Sybiline actually looked and sounded evil. Great animation in parts.
